14 five stars and 50 four stars just got smashed by 7 four stars

And the rest were 2 and 3 star players.
There is NO excuse for that. It's embarrassing and Deboer needs to be let go. We can not go from a disciplinarian like Saban to a weak guy like Deboer and expect to continue the trend.

Your stuck with him for at least 2 years . But the portal is about to be fun watching the tide flow

The spread was -7.5 Indiana and it would've been higher if you swapped the names of the programs.
Recruiting rankings don't mean as much with the transfer portal, especially when you combine it with an elite coach like Cignetti.

Reminded me of the ‘08 BAMA. Sprigs of top talent and a cast of midrange players hungry for success.

STOP. That is just a misnomer - they are loaded with talent.
They will have up to 9 players drafted!!! 9!! With a Heisman winner and possible first pick. That is Saban-era worthy.

Pampered vs blue collar
This is true. I think you can have a relatively blue collar team of highly rated recruits... but it's harder. I kind of feel like Bama and OSU may have gone too far in prioritizing talent over character/work ethic. I think teams like UGA and Oregon have largely been able to keep the team first dynamic despite having high levels of talent.

Deboer => 4-loss Deboss => Dedoor

They better get their Tampons because it's probably going to be a HEAVY FLOW!

Ok genius. Give us candidates that could possibly step in and fill Saban's shoes. Got any? Let's pull out the Dr. Pepper Hot Seat and roasts Deboer's arse. That'll will fricking fix the problem. Yeah!
OR
Fans could demand that coaching staff changes needs to be made and the first place is OC and O line! Indiana hired Mike Shanahan who is young and probably one of the best OCs in college football. Let's start there before we Gumps burn the Capstone down.

Its a top down issue.
Saban demanded fire. He demanded hard work. He was a no nonsense SOB. His teams played like it.
Cig ...you can see him throughout the whole team of Indiana.
Deboer.... is our top guy. Its his face, his demeanor, his laid backness that we see throughout our team.

Indiana has a massive NIL, a lot of transfers, and a lot of players over the age of 22.
Plus a very good coach.
They aren’t a bunch of scrappy upstarts punching above their weight class.

Demeanor doesn't seem to matter much these days. If there are good assitanant coaches who demand excellence of thier departments, the final result is the same. The head coach on the sideline is basically a CEO. Saben was fairly calm the last few years of his career.
