Anyone who thinks Beck won that game for Miami is retarded. He had some tough runs and he managed the game well — he averaged 5 yards a pass.
The Miami defense, and the domination of both lines of scrimmage won the game. They kept Beck clean for him to throw the ball 5 yards at a time while Sayin was thrown around like a rag doll all game.

First of all, it’s Gunner. And second of all, he’s better than Beck in every statistical category and was 7th in heisman voting. He was the better recruit too.

Hmm...given the last time I watched him vs our current QB play Ole Miss, I'm good. Gunner has won games for us. I saw us win a ton of games in spite of Beck. Not all his fault...our receivers weren't good last year, but I'll take Gunner every day and twice on Sunday.
Ask yourself this...does Carson Beck beat Ole Miss or Tennessee this year? I don't think he does. There is your answer
