Tell middle of the pack SEC schools to quit firing head coaches. Also, tell top players whose team isn’t in the playoffs to stop opting out.
The SEC is destined to have losing records in bowl season.

Lame excuses.
We haven't even made it to the title game the last 2 years.
So our top teams are losing in the post season & our middle of the pack teams are losing in the post season.
Spin it all you want, but this is pathetic

The acc has a worse record than the sec but I agree that’s bad but not the worst

The Big10 had 17 teams in 2024? I didn’t even know that they had that many in their conference! Who didn’t get in?

Why are you "rofl"?
That's actually impressive to send 17 teams and finish with an 11-6 record.
Shows how strong they are from top to bottom.

Nobody gives a shite about bowls until they get here and you’re the only game on TV playing with a shell of a team.
Then everyone suddenly makes sweeping conclusions about conference hierarchy based on them.
The Big-10 does very well in exhibition games. Half the SEC considers it a failure to miss the playoffs and the results in bowl games show that.

Just shows that there are FAR too many bowls. The Big 10 has 18 member schools, and if they sent 17 teams to bowls, that means 6 of them had losing records.
Purdue was 1-11. It’s ridiculous and shows why the bowl system and records aren’t really meaningful anymore
That’s why I’m laughing!

It really doesn't mean shite outside of playoff games. The teams aren't the same teams that played the regular season.
This is the same as acting like the skeleton squad teams NFL teams with #1 seeds locked up put on the field in Week 18 matter at all. They aren't the same team as the one who played the first 16 games.
Not to mention the B1G has 2-4 bowls each year where they play G5 teams (so far this year Boise, CMU and New Mexico) whereas the SEC has none.

But yeah, exhibition games

Those games matter.
The Rate Bowl and the Gator Bowl do not.

They did not send 17 teams, they sent 12. Some played multiple games giving them an 11-6 postseason record.

My bad,
So 4 of those games were Ohio State beating Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame.
Mighty impressive to be sporting the best Bowl record of any conference over the last 3 years AND Back to Back National Titles.

At least know what you are posting when you do. They sent 11 total teams. The + on the record is the CFP.
Bold are Big10 Teams
Notre Dame 27 Indiana 17
Penn State 38 SMU 10
Ohio State 42 Tennessee 17
Kansas State 44 Rutgers 41
Southern Cal 35 Texas A&M 31
Nebraska 20 Boston College 15
Missouri 27 Iowa 24
Louisville 35 Washington 34
Michigan 19 Alabama 13
Penn State 31 Boise State 14
Illinois 21 South Carolina 17
Ohio State 41 Oregon 21
Minnesota 24 Virgina Tech 10
Notre Dame 27 Penn State 24
Ohio State 28 Texas 14
Ohio State 34 Notre Dame 23
Don't just AI it because it gives you 11-6 record but its counting the ones played for this year

Yea, Ohio State is a top 3 program in the sport over the last 15 years (and all-time). They had an elite team last season.

Yes it is.
Just as it was impressive for the SEC during a decade plus of dominance.
We are obviously in a new era, but who needs nuance? Congrats on the bowl wins.

Really it's just an affirmation that the B1G hasn't seen as many optouts as the SEC teams.
We poke fun at LSU, but if even half their starters play that game against Houston and they win easily. Bowl records are pretty much a worthless metric now.

And... while still pretty good, that record is 7-5 without Ohio State (Oregon's loss was to OSU).
Imagine what the SEC's bowl records would have been if, say, in 2011 Alabama and LSU had been on opposite (1 & 2 seeds) of a playoff bracket? 7-1 just from those two teams? I mean, hell, Arkansas is at LEAST winning their round 1 game and probably round 2 against the #4 seed. 9-2 with the two losses to other SEC teams?
Playoffs and opt outs cause the bowl game records of current college football a very different metric than past records. You can't really compare the two.
