What's the outlook with roster today in bowl game? any important opt outs?
Vegas has it as a close one- I'm thinking full strenght the Vols by a TD.

Any roster info is helpful

Missing Brazzell (leading receiver), Josephs (leading sacks), Carter (leading tackler), and Colton Hood (1st round DB).

Overall missing some key pieces but not like the whole team is out. Defense cant possibly play any worse than it has all year

Opt outs arent an excuse. Every team has them

We're definitely going to be missing some dudes. Like the VFL67 mentioned - Brazzel, Carter, Hood & Joseph's are 4 of our best players & they're foregoing the game to avoid injury / prepping for the draft.

We’re going to have to score a bunch of points to win today I think. Our defense is missing their better players and we sucked when we had them.

We are missing our best receiver, our best linebacker , our best corner and our best pass rusher. That being said we still have a lot of young talent. I think we cover the spread today. Obviously motivation could be a concern. Illinois has also had a few of their best guys opt out. Also Illinois plays a ton of man coverage and I don’t think they will have the requisite speed to do so effectively. If you want to make a bet this postseason I think betting Oregon against Tech is the play

For clarification:

Brazzell - Leading receiver in the SEC (Leads the league in both receiving yards and receiving TDs).

Carter - Leads team in tackles (tied for 10th in the conference). Battled Turf Toe final 2 months of the season.

Josephs - Actually tied for 2nd on the team in Sacks, but tied for 1st in the league in forced fumbles. Led the team in QB pressures, even though he has been playing hurt since September.

Hood - All-SEC CB who had 2 defensive TDs and 8 pass breakups.

Others not playing due to injury that may be significant:

Wendell Moe Jr. - Started 11 games (9 at RG and 2 at LG). Injured in finale against Vandy.

Jaxson Moi - Started 9 games on DL, injured against Vandy.

Transfer Portal significant players:

Peyton Lewis - RB rushed for 290 yards and 7 tds on 70 carries. Also averaged 21.3 yards per kickoff return.

I’m gonna bet this game… what makes this game “the play” in your opinion?

If Georgia has had any since the advent of the CFP, none come to mind. Even in years when we weren't in the final four.

I don’t think Tech has enough fire power offensively. Their QB isn’t very mobile and has been injured at various points in time. I also think that they haven’t yet had to compete against a deep roster with speed in every position. Oregon has the ability to be really effective using 12 or 11 personnel that TE Oregon has is an absolute monster

I've been hearing that Josh Heupel is coaching for his job today.

What? It was one of Indiana's better regular season victories in the Big "Dump" conference.
