It is not encouraging that the only decent QB he has had (Brady Cook) was recruited by Barry Odom.

I hear TJ Finley is available, as he is every year for at least a decade now

You had two pretty good QBs get hurt. Not something a coach can really control.

From what little of the game I saw it seemed the passing game consisted of short outs and passes to the flat. It makes it harder for a run heavy team when the defense doesn’t have to worry about the deep pass.

Not sure if this was by design to mitigate risk with a young qb or simply qb scared to go down the field

dink has had this same issue every year he has been here. That's six seasons of slightly different versions of the exact same offense with the 2 different OCs

Hmm. Weird.

What a coincidence.

Oh well. Let’s see what the offense looks like under Drinkchip.

They need a real pocket QB who has some escapability not a dual threat. This is the SEC not the Big 12. This is why yours and Oklahomas QBs keep getting hurt.

That’d be true if the plays they were hurt on weren’t designed QB runs with an All American RB standing behind them.

Drink’s commitment to run the QB into the teeth of the defense has cost us 4 starting QBs in his tenure. 4 QBs injured on 4 QB runs. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is knowing even if he lands a top transfer he will injure him within 3 games on a useless QB run to the short side of the field “to keep the defense on its toes”.

I don’t buy for a second that the new OC will do anything but run Drink’s QB killing scheme.

It looks more like he's taking QBs that could probably be decent passers and trying to make them run-only QBs. The more QBs are in his system, the less they pass and the more they run.

Don't worry. We're keeping Choklahoma's seat warm for you next to us on the Mid-Bus.
