Talking strictly football (Obviously). Which school does less with more?

In our state TCU has went to a national title more recently than them (Granted they got embarrassed).

In the playoff era Texas Tech might make it to the title game before what are supposed to be the two premier programs in the state do.

They both make me scratch my head sometimes. We're talking about the #1 and #3 highest valuations for athletic departments in the entire country and they don't get it done.

What gives?

It's cultural issues at both that hamper the programs.

It’s by and far Texas. I mean two titles in 187 years is ridiculous. They are one dumb black QB and two seasons away from being Baylor in Football

Obvious troll thread. But I'll bite.

Its Texas. They've been underachieving with massive resources since color tv.

A&M has only been in the massive resources club for like 20 years. It was a pretty underfunded program before that with subpar facilities done as blindly and cheaply as possible.

Both underachive annually. But I gotta give it to the whorns for the sheer longevity of their inexplicable underachivements.

Im not one to talk since my Notre Dame hasnt won shite in forever but its Texas by far. If it wasnt for Reggie Bush and Lendale White playing hero ball and trying to lateral the football....Texas wouldnt have won the title with Vince Young and would still be without a Natty since 1970.

What were A&M's resources like in 1939?

Texas. By far. They act like a blue blood, but history doesn’t show it. At least A&M doesn’t act like a blue blood

If you attended any college it should disown you. Damn. Your middle school should too.

You're assuming he made it to middle school.

Very possible Ricky over here never got his Grade 5.

No program underachieves more than Texas. Pre NIL they could cherry pick the top talent in the state of texas, but from 2011 to 2022 they had only 1 season with double digit wins.

He’s still technically correct

In fact, they've only won 2 titles in 5000 years

Grats on flexing your English major and derailing the thread.

I'll let you in on a little secret: nobody gives AF about proper sentence structure on internet forums except neckbeards with superiority complexes.

It doesn't matter how well a sentence is structured as long as the point is getting across, yuh dig?

Mack Brown was the most underachieving coach Ive ever seen in my life and thats saying something with how old I am. The dude got so much talent at Texas and only won 1 title and that was luck. Reggie Bush and Lendale White gave that title away for USC....not to mention Vince Young carrying Mack Brown across the finish line to title with a big 4th down run in the red zone with the game on the line.
