Doesn't give me hope we can keep Baugh...

Texas pod said he wanted double his salary and around 1.25m. That’s ridiculous
Apparently he has a deal with someone.
Rumor is Baugh from Florida and Texas have been talking. Texas also got Cooper, the 5 star RB from IMG that’s enrolling next week.

hate to see it because he fricking hated OU and A&M, an absolute rival killer. but more of a situational back, not an RB1.

Not sure about situational but he was definitely was a tough back and ran hard. He will definitely be missed.

The world we live in. Hard to get too upset about any particular player transferring.

Every team has a player who was an under the radar, low expectations recruit, who goes on to be the heart and soul of the team and gives it his all. Wisner was that guy for Texas. I hate what college football is becoming.
But good luck to him. Get every penny you can.

Hate to see him go, because he punched above his weight and played especially well against our rivals. But I get it. He wants to be the featured back next year. But that's Baugh.

I have read Baugh and Lacey from ol'Miss....whoever jumps first....or maybe both.

That’s the most turnover we’ve ever seen at Texas. We’ve been a bit spoiled and sheltered as Texas fans in terms of roster retention since this whole NIL wave started. I don’t know how invested I can be in a Texas squad with 50+ percent transfer starter snaps. That’s tough to maintain though, credit to Kirby for still hovering around 10%.

This has been reality for most of college football for years now. The staff dropped the ball, way too many recruiting misses. Even pre-injury, I don’t know how good Baxter was. This past RB recruiting class has been MIA. Now we’re going to have to spend a ton of capital just to get a starter who could go down in pre-season camp like all our backs have the past three years. Don’t even get me started on Flood and the interior offensive line. They went cheap on IOL for years and it cost us a playoff spot. Now you’ll have to spend probably twice as much in the portal when you could have developed a quality starter by now.

Skill position players are falling out of trees in Texas and can be had for a double meat Whataburger.
O-Linemen are harder to sign and develop. Fortunately Stroh is the only OL in portal and he had concrete feet that were super glued to the sport turf.
So far we're kind of getting it easy in the portal. Wisner will be missed, but Texas has alternatives and not an empty cupboard.

Well, that’s disappointing.

LSU needs RB's in a bad way. We're probably going to reset the value for the short term and frick everybody up this cycle.
Sorry.
Sorry.

if only IMG would come to an end... every player they have gets a 2 star bump because IMG.

He’d be a solid complimentary back, but he’s not a RB1. I could see Lane scheming him up very well but you’ll still need someone for in between the tackles.

Don’t blame him. Sark’s shitty offense did him no favors

Yeah, we're in a pickle. We only have 3 RB's and 1 of them is in the portal already. Frank didn't recruit any this year, and 2 of his recruits are in bigtime trouble with the law, so we are thin as frick.
We're going to overpay for a transfer, and that's going to piss off the 2 guys we still have. Our recruiting board seems to think we're going to give Lacy $2m.
You can't tell the new HC that he can't have the guy he wants, but I feel like it would be better to keep our two and pluck 4 guys off G5 teams.
