Most of the horses are in the barn, but there can still be some jockeying for position. How does the top 10 finish? Here are current on3 team rankings.

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Texas A&M
4. Tennessee
5. Texas
6. LSU
7. Florida
8. South Carolina
9. Oklahoma
10. Ole Miss

If you rank it by average score per recruit:

3. A&M
4. UGA

6. Florida
7. Tenn
8. Texas
9. OU
10. Ole Miss

By all means. Who’s gonna sign the most 5 star players for $1M or more and watch them not play for a year and then hit the portal?

This thread would be a perfect conversation starter on the Recruiting Board!

I really don’t get why Utrans took so many three stars this cycle

Why would we do that?

LSU has 14 players in their current class.

Because some people prefer to look at quality over quantity when it comes to talent.

Why not both?

There are 10 teams who have as many 4 & 5 star players committed as LSU has total players in their entire class.

I agree. That why I added my top 10 list as the 2nd post in this thread.

Eh…I despise Texas and think Sark is a dork.

But Texas has recruiting pull and Sark is a good evaluator of talent so I put more faith in his talent evaluation over people getting paid <1/10th of him and his staff.

What really matters is the transfer portal rankings. Look at last year's top 5 portal teams and look who's in the playoffs

4 out of 5 are still in the playoff and 6 of the top 12 made it.
You can take it a step further and look at the final transfer rankings from 2024. 4 out of top 5 teams qualified for the CFB Playoff this season and 6 of the top of 12. The top 3 and 6 of the top 13 are still playing.

Misleading. LSU has 14 commits. Does any school have 14 top commits that average higher? Answer is, yes.

Is this looking at strictly HS or HS and portal once the portal is done?
