Seems some fans are obsessed with how many people a stadium holds, as if bigger is always better. Not necessarily. Anyhoo, here are the figures for the 12 playoff teams.
Ohio State--103,000+. Record is 110,000 against Michigan.
Texas A & M--103,000+.
Alabama--102,000.
Georgia--93,000+.
Oklahoma--80,000+.
Ole Miss--64,000-68,000+.
Miami--65,000.
Texas Tech--60,000+.
Oregon--54,000-60,000.
Indiana--52,000.
Tulane--30,000.
James Madison--25,000.
-------------
Stadium size does not equal success in the portal/NIL or having the right coach.

Oklahoma’s stadium is surprisingly small.

Dang. Is that right?
That’s a boutique venue.
I didn’t realize they were so diminutive.

Did you know that most pro stadiums seat between 60 and 70,000?

College football is a religion in many areas; the team is the primary major sports attraction.
Pro teams, located in large cities, are businesses favoring exclusivity over size.
Give me decades of tradition.

Oklahoma is decreasing capacity of their stadium to 73,000. Seems small for a blue blood

Great thread to bridge the playoffs with the offseason

Texas A&M's largest crowd was 110,633 vs. Ole Miss

Attendance for the Ole Miss-Florida game was well over 68,000. Checking their stats: LSU game had close to 68,000. Most other home games were between 66 and 67,000. Capacity is 64,200+, so their attendance this year was well over capacity. Interesting to me that Miami, Texas Tech and Oregon did not equal this.

It holds almost 87k….so 6k less than UGA

Aggie Dynasty: what was the score of that game? I do not doubt that A & M will likely reach that figure against Miami.

My research said that Oklahoma was reducing the size of their stadium to 73,000.

They also only have 23,000 students. And their football team didn’t get much love up until like 15 or 20 years ago

Let's just say that stadiums don't win games. HC's, OC's, DC's and players do.

You know you’re in the SEC WHEN Oklahoma’s stadium is called small when it holds over 80k.
It’s not the biggest but it’s not small.

The most recent stadium expansions were just a money grab, or a dick measuring contest. They really don't add anything for the fan. A smaller stadium, OR ARENA, can be a much more intimidating factor for the visiting team.

And do you know that for some fans it's just another version of 'mine is bigger than yours?'

100% correct. The view is gorgeous but there isn't a good seat in the house.
