Why is Tech seeded above Ole Miss?

Can someone make a rational argument as to why Tech is ranked above Ole Miss? Ole Miss actually beat a good team in Oklahoma and their only loss was a tight one to an elite Georgia. Meanwhile Tech has beat up on a bunch of nobody’s and lost to Arizona State a team that lost to Miss ST.

Texas Tech jumped Ole Miss after they crushed undefeated BYU
Their only loss was on the road while playing with a backup QB.

BYU played 2 ranked teams, # 9 TT and #23 UU. Lost to TT 29-7, beat UU 24-21.
I guess any system will have flaws.

Conference champion vs a school that didn’t even make the game . Is it that hard for you to comprehend?

I think another reason is they’ve blown out every team they beat. No close calls at home like Ole Miss had with Arkansas, Washington State, or Florida.

For one, they rolled through the Big XII. Secondly, they blew everyone out when they had their starting QB. The Big XII isn’t much but it’s still considered a P4, at least for now

Yeah well...
That’s what usually happens with schedules that have an SOS of …

Because Ole Miss barely beat a team that North Texas beat 59-10.

You should work for the NCAA so that they can capitalize on the thoughts of the GreatPumpkin

Tech won their conference, and with the same regular season record are ranked higher.

Tech deserved to be #4. The real conversation would be #5 Oregon v. #6 Ole Miss v. #7 A&M

Texas Tech may win the whole thing.

OM limped by some really bad SEC teams this season

The captain of Ole Miss’ ship now lives in BR. That’s why.
