If tweet fails to load, click here. This seems to be a trend. Chris Hayes with USA Today also picked OU as his champion. Pate and Klatt picked OU big Friday and both said they won’t play a team more talented than them until the title game. Plus IU lost its best defensive player for the year.

Best defense in the country. Just not enough offense. Not nearly enough.

Chris Hayes is not Vern Funquist.
Chris Marler is Vern Funquist.
Marler generally I think has good takes. This one is not one of them. I'm not sure he said they're his pick but just that they can win it all.
When is the last time we've seen an offense that bad win it all?
I don't think I have in my lifetime. OSU didn't have a dynamic offense when they beat Miami in 2001, but they could run the ball very well. OU can't do that.

I do think the winner of the AU/OU will make a run in the top half of the bracket. They just won't win it all.

Either will have to play much better than what we've seen the past month plus IMO.

Even with that defense, there’s enough talent on the board where they’re going to run into a game where they’re going to need to score points. You can only keep the lid on some of those offenses for so long.

Just heard the Bama TE and Overton are not expected to play Friday. Huge losses for Bama
This could get ugly Friday just like last year in Norman

I mean Oregon has more talent than OU overall for sure.
OU is good enough to beat anyone with their defense, but also could score 6 points and lose 13-6 Friday

Not sure why. I didn't say best defense in history.

has he had brain damage? don't see that happening, plus if it did, it would be the most boring playoff in history for everyone but OU fans seeing them when each game like 9-6

OU might be able to make it to round 2. Not sure if we can get past Alabama AND Indiana.

Damn bama fans got owned once again lol……
They said OUs defense this years rated as the second best defense ever in the sec behind only UGA 2020 team .
Not sure which stat they used to back it up but pretty cool anyhow .
