The Gumps are begging for their covid title to be recognized. Congrats on beating half-full rosters with cardboard cutouts in the stands, I guess.

Given the number of opt outs most teams had, that season shouldn’t count for anything. It was a great Bama team, sure, but they aren’t an all time great because they played a pop warner schedule.
Hell, the team they beat in the title game only played 6 games to get in the playoffs.

It's ALWAYS up for debate. 
One person's take does not end the debate. I will always debate that 2019 LSU is the best ever. No ESPN writer could ever change my mind on that one.
Sad part is that we'll never truly know because those 2 teams never got to play each other. Sure would have been an awesome game though!

You are right.
The 2019 Bama team that would have beaten the 2020 Bama team by 21+ pts did play 2019 LSU and lost...at home.
Is there anyone that really thinks that the 2020 Bama team even stays remotely competitive with 2019 LSU?

2019 LSU had some close games. 2020 Bama DISMANTLED people by half-time......2020 Bama offense could have literally went against a pro defense and scored.

Except they did play.
The 2020 Alabama team was on the 2019 Alabama team and they lost to LSU.
2020 Alabama is only recognized as a great team because they played in such a weak year.
