Despite the extension he signed less than a month ago?

He isn’t even on their list. Nice try

Both parties might be happy to exit that marriage after what the board saw when A&M played a halfway decent team.

Aggies should go ahead and do the thing where they compulsively and vehemently deny any possibility of a coach leaving, only to speak it into existence.

Elko would leave A&M for the right opportunity. He’s not on Michigan’s short list

We’re in the playoffs, which is a huge step towards the ultimate goal.
How about Texas? Are you guys going to be happy keeping Sark around as long as beats A&M, even if the Longhorns don’t make the playoffs?

With an ACC level schedule, congrats!

The irony of this comment considering Sarks 2-0 against Elko and had a top 4 team the last 2 years

Tell me the last time an A&M Head football coach left for another program, but apparently it’s common that we speak it into existence

With the way Elko lied to the Duke players and left in the middle of the night to take the atm job, I wouldn’t put anything past him. Dude’s a sleaze ball.

To be fair, no previous football coach has really been good enough to warrant a call from the big boys. Elko might've done enough, though.

Les Miles to Michigan as foretold by the Prophet Kirk Herbstreit years ago.

After Harbaugh and Moore they need to hire Mary Poppins.

Gonna be DeBoer. Question is who does Bama get? Lane would be a 100% no, if it was anyone but Lane. This would be Kardashian level attention, which he would LOVE!!!

That would be Bear Bryant in 1957 when A&M was an all male military college (not even a University). A&M literally had Bo Schembechler about to board a plane to come to A&M though in the 80s but he had a last minute change of heart so we hired Jackie Sherrill who had 2 straight Top 3 finishes at Pitt. We hired Fran away from Bama. We hired Jimbo from FSU. RC Slocum turned down the Arizona Cardinals to stay at A&M.
So good luck. You can say we overpay football coaches but we don't lose them to other schools if we want to keep them.
