-- Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo
-- Indiana defensive coordinator Bryant Haines
-- Miami defensive coordinator Corey Heatherman
-- Ohio State defensive coordinator Matt Patricia
-- Texas Tech defensive coordinator Shiel Wood

Laughed at by our rivals and hated by his own fanbase, guy has done a fantastic job this year.

Gunner Stockton- 3rd team All SEC QB in first year as a starter.

Georgia ranks second nationally and first in the SEC in RZ TD efficiency. It's the best RZ TD percentage in Kirby Smart's tenure.

Dear Auburn and S. Carolina: This man was never your problem.

Pretty sure Bobo puts on a blindfold and calls plays. He gets lucky every now and then. He has no clue what he's doing most of the time.

That's the exact opposite of the problem Bobo has.

Bobo is often too predictable a playcaller. 3rd and long? Look for the bubble screen or delay handoff. 4th-1... handoff to a back up the middle (almost never a QB sneak).

He's been a bit better on that this year, but I still guess what's coming half the time and I imagine an actual DC can do better than that.

If he put on a blindfold and called plays, you'd never know what's coming. That's not Bobo. He's a "by the book" coach.

I don't hate him. He's a good coordinator. Develops talent well and knows how to create a gameplan as well as adjust the gameplan at halftime.

He's not elite in my opinion, but he's still very good. His downside is he's kinda predictable.

Even good coaches have weaknesses. Smart (in my opinion) gambles more than he should in games. Richt never recruited the OL as much as he needed to and was too loyal to assistants.

Recognizing a weakness is different than hate.

Hey I wanted Beamer to keep him. The only bright spot on that last muschamp squad was Bobo’s rushing attack, Kevin Harris had like 1200 yards rushing that year. I think Bobo wanted like double his current salary and Beamer (foolishly) told him to kick rocks which led to our current situation of 4 OCs in 5 years since.

Yeah, our Disney Dawgs don't get that. Too much nuance. Any critique, no matter how valid and they attack. They lack the propensity for rational thought. For them it's emotional drive 24/7.

The absolute truth is Bobo has called spectacularly good games and atrociously bad games. You never really know what you're gonna get. He started the season horribly. He's gotten better, but he has proven he can relapse back to the bad Bobo. That's the truth.

It's probably his best year as a coordinator. Also helps that the OL unit is probably the best he's had when healthy and Stockton is very accurate when not under pressure.

let me ask you something seriously. if you, a couch potato watching half buzzed from your couch, know what Bobo is going to do even down to the down and distance remaining, how come opponents with $3M DCs and an army of analysts working round the clock don't know the same thing? I mean if it's as predictable as you claim surely we'd be avering like 10 points a game right?

It's also worth pointing out that often times Bobo will run plays that we KNOW are not going to be successful. Sounds retarded but they serve a very specific purpose within the framework of the game flow. Many times we will throw a ton of screens in the 1st quarter, many for no gain. But I can recall AT LEAST three times this season (and maybe more that I'm forgetting), that in the second half we called the same play, blocked it the same way, but slipped a TE on a wheel route and he was wide slap open. We did it for a TD against ole miss, did it against bama, and a few others. All for big gains or even points. Reminds me of a great greg maddox story. He said one time it was late in a game that didn't really mean anything, and he intentioanlly threw some predictable shite pitch to a dude and the guy homered. Exactly what maddox watned. In the postseason he faced that same batter wiht the same count, and this time got the guy swining out of his shoes. He didn't GAF he gave up a meaningless run because it was to set up a more important pitch when it mattered.

Believe it or not Bobo isn't as dumb and predictable as many of our fans claim him to be

They often do know what's coming.

The thing is, UGA's players are very good. If UGA calls a handoff up the middle on 4th-1 75% of the time, that doesn't mean the opponent can stop it all the time.

Part of his predictability works to make sure we don't often lose to teams we should beat. He calls plays by the book... but the book exists for a reason. He doesn't "out-smart" the DC's of the other team. He just uses the strengths of his offense in a predictable way.

He's a good OC. He's just not ever going to be seen as a creative playcaller or playcalling "genius". He's a "by the book" playcaller. Very good OC.

Other than almost getting Nate Frasier killed three times against Bama Saturday night...he called a good game.
