So not a single playoff team has an OOC game vs. a playoff team.
In fairness, you don't know who is going to be a playoff team when these things are scheduled years in advance, but as has been said by many, there is little incentive to schedule a solid OOC P5 opponent in the current system.

Did you run out of bold font before you got down to Alabama?
or
Is the bold font only for wins?
or
Is the bold font only for wins?

Ole Miss and Tulane played each other.

The bold font is for weak OOC opponents. I’m surprised he didn’t bold Washington State.

I guess that's correct. Congrats to all those teams with the stones to schedule JMU.

So those 4 did not play a P4 OOC team.

The SEC is about to go to a 9-game schedule, and we should cancel all tough out of conference opponents. We're the only conference in football playing a real schedule, and there's no need to add to it.

The playoff teams beating those OOC teams is the exact reason several of those beaten OOC teams are not in the CFP.
Therefore, few have OOC wins vs playoff teams.

I don't like seeing rematches in the first round. Such a boring opening slate.

Facts. It’s honestly a dumb move on Sankeys part. The SEC schedules will be even more brutal while these pussy arse other conferences play 2-3 legit teams all season

It would be a much better slate if they did away with autobids.

This ...
completely wipes out this:

Do you want to see the best football (best teams) you can possibly have?
or is "best" defined as "novelty" to you?
If "novelty" then I bet you would prefer to see the field expanded to 32 or more.

That's Conference USA Champion Kennesaw State University Owls, thank you very much.

(For the record, I thought the genesis of the football program in 2015 was a great time to change the school mascot from the Owls to the Generals. For those unfamiliar - the train depot at downtown Kennesaw was where the train "The General" was stolen during The Great Locomotive Chase in 1862).

For the life of me, I do not see why people don't understand this ^

Solid record even for a USA champ.

I don't like it but this is where everything is pushing us.

Just remember Ole Miss had USC (9-3) and Wake Forest (8-4) scheduled for this season but they backed out and we got Georgia State and Washington State instead.

Nonsense. There are traditional powers for which you expect to be a solid team. Scheduling Bama or Georgia isn't the same as scheduling UK or Vandy. In any given year the wheels can come off, see LSU.
The simple point is that if there is no real incentive to play a solid P4 OOC game, why play one? You are only risking a loss.
