I used to respect the tradition of that program even after 1966. I went to the game up there in 1987 and even though we got clobbered it was one of the most memorable experiences of my career.

This did not get us even over 1966 but damn what goes around does come around. I guess the corporate money is driving the process. Alabama's selection was about the money and protecting the conferences. SEC and BIG have big tv contracts and huge fan bases that buy stuff. Is really looks like Notre Dame's ability to continue as an Independent is in jeopardy. It looks like their arrogance catch up with them and it could not happen to a nicer bunch. I do have a lot of N D fans as friends and they are nice folks. They should have joined the ACC in football as well as basketball.

What a sh*tty thing to do to your Seniors. Guys who have given you everything for 5 years and you are going to take away their last time to dress out? So what if you have lots of opt outs? Play the guys who want to be there.
