Seriously, what did we think Georgia would do? Sit back like the first half of the September game? Our offense looked and played scared and weak today. Atrocious game plan. Score: D-

No halftime adjustments were made. Same script for second half. Score:F

The offense’s overall toughness, both mental and physical, is very disappointing. No urgency, dropped passes, missed blocks, negative rushing yards. Score: F

I was a defender of Deboer last year. I defended him this year too. But after now watching us come out today looking like this with no answers, I question his ability to create a team tough enough to consistently win in the SEC.

Too many times now we have come out unprepared and unmotivated to play. You would think halftime arse chewing and adjustments would at least make us competitive, but so far we haven’t seen it in those games. When we are prepared to play and execute well in the first half, we seem unable or unwilling to make offensive adjustments on the fly and end up barely hanging on instead of putting teams away.

Props to the D though. They were consistently put in bad positions and kept playing hard up until the last first down run to end the game. I was wrong about Wommack. That side of the ball has progressively played harder and more physically as the year has gone on.

I see Schumann on the Georgia sideline and think that’s the mentality we need, not the product we have been given. He will get a chance soon and will likely build another defensive juggernaut in the mold of Saban.

Most say Deboer isn’t on the hot seat. I’m not so sure.

He is not and it’s insane to suggest otherwise. Run him off and who do you get. Seriously. You’re left taking a Schuman or making a run at Cignetti who is close to retirement.

If we end up outside tomorrow, he’s on the hot seat next year. You’d have to be living in Rainbowland to think the temperature in the offseason isn’t going to be cranked up.

Fans are really good at spending other people’s money.

Unless he completely implodes I’d rather put money into NIL and get some stud backs and linemen than buying him out.

If we are to expect 4 losses a year, my argument would be it could be done much cheaper than 11+ million a year.

The finesse shite that worked in the upper Midwest and West Coast won’t cut it in the SEC. It just won’t. Ask AI why Grubb was fired after one year:

“Ryan Grubb was fired from the Seahawks because head coach Mike Macdonald felt their visions for the offense were different, particularly regarding the run-pass balance and overall offensive identity. Key issues included the offense's lack of adaptability, inconsistent performance, and a struggle with the run game, which contributed to the team missing the playoffs.
Reasons for the firing
Different offensive philosophies: Macdonald's vision for the team's offense was different from Grubb's, creating a fundamental disagreement on how the offense should be run.
Lack of adaptability: Some online discussions suggest the offense was inconsistent and lacked creativity, particularly in adjusting play-calling to counter opponent adjustments.
Inconsistent run game: Despite some success, the running game struggled and was not used consistently. This contributed to the offense's predictability and a heavy reliance on passing, even when the running game was working well, say Sports Illustrated and NFL.com.
Struggles in key situations: The offense had issues in the red zone and with long-developing plays that required the quarterback to hold the ball for too long, leaving him vulnerable to pressure.
Team's performance: The Seahawks finished 10-7 but missed the playoffs, which played a role in the decision to change the offensive direction.”

Some of this seems a little familiar, huh?

Any coach of a top 15 program that misses the playoffs more than once in 2 years is on the hot seat. It’s the business they created.

This is some bullshite and is more a product of how the NFL seeds teams. 10-7 in the NFL almost always guarantees you a playoff spot. They just got unlucky last year.
