Assuming all favs win this week who would we most likely play in first playoff game?

I just want to be in playoffs.

Nah, Indiana is getting a bye regardless.
It’ll be at Oregon, Ole Miss, aTm
It’ll really depend where the committee puts us, but I’d guess we’ll be 11 with a loss only ranked above the G5 team

They'll send us to Oxford or College Station to make sure one of the 5 SEC squads gets eliminated. They aren't going to send Alabama to Eugene

If we win we will be #4. No other conference deserves to move into the top 4.

I agree. The OP asked if all favorites win so I was laying out that scenario

We’d either stay at 9 or drop to 10. ACC and G5s are filling out 11 and 12. So likely we’dbe at OU or A&M. Probably A&M because the committee would fix it that there aren’t rematches of OU-Bama and A&M-ND.

Ohh if we lose i think we stay 9. We cannot drop and stay in playoffs. How can committee put us below ND but above miami

We can lose and drop a spot and stay in the playoff if the favorites win. And we should’ve never been behind ND but we were so the committee is clearly fine having us behind ND and not Miami.

Either way it’s an SEC team baring some crazy chaos.

They had us above Miami before a loss. If Miami is one spot below ND now how would they determine miami isnt still 1 spot below ND if we lose?
That makes no sense.
As of today Miami and ND are neck and neck. Since they both sit at home, how the hell would they determine ND is better than us but miami isnt?
If we deserve a spot with a loss then we have to stay 9 for their argument to be relevant imo.

I’d say either Texas a&m or ole miss. I don’t think they put us in a rematch with Oklahoma in the opening round

I’d be happy to go to norman. Revenge would be nice.

Just saw something on BYU game showing us likely at OU (assuming loss to UGA I guess).

If we lose and IU gets blown out, I think it's conceivable we end up in Bloomington. With a win, I think we do jump above Ole Miss and below Texas Tech but who knows. There's a group of people who can literally do anything and that will always give me pause when it comes to predicting anything

appears they are inclined to keep SEC to just 2 teams in final 4 not so for B1G
Thats why they will match SEC vs SEC in ealry round
