Where does Thompson get all these players? Are they doing the same thing Hoover did in the 2000s?

Bunch of random Hawaiian ballers popping up in Alabama. Maybe Tua was a psyop for Sankey to expand his influence to the west coast.

Best two teams in 7A met in the semi finals. It is a shame Opelika was so bad compared to Central of Phoenix City

They recruit and also have the benefit of being their own school system. They're no longer part of Shelby County schools and beholden to their rules about coaching salaries are numbers of assistants. They won their 1st title the year all the freshman that started in their new system became seniors.

It's also cheaper to buy a house out there. I have had a lot of kids I teach (I teach in Hoover) go to Thompson because they can afford an actual house instead of just an apartment.
