As a Bama fan that wants to take down Ohio State this is a huge deal. The guy can coach wide receivers and has been the best recruiter in the nation for many years.
Look at the list of guys he has recruited. Multiple top wide receivers in the NFL right now or soon to be there.

Daboll would not be anywhere near my list. Its crazy they were the first to fire someone and still havent hired anyone. They should have been way out in front on a few names at least.

Either the Sexton power move because Penn State pissed him off or Penn State is waiting for a CFP-bound or NFL coach are the only plausible answers now.
I never felt like the BYU coach noise was a real thing. Probably just an agent getting his client some money. The former player and mormon coach is not leaving BYU in my opinion. Especially when NIL has changed the game in a way that benefits BYU greatly.
So essentially, there has been nothing credible smoking up around Penn State. I think they've got someone in mind and are waiting their season out.
