Sumrall

"I was built for this job. I was made for this job. Winners win. I'm a winner. We're gonna win."

Golesh

"We're going to build a process driven program. A process driven program. I truly believe that if you buy into a process the end result will happen. A lot of the time you don't control the end result. You control your habits. You control your daily process. If you keep pouring into that at whatever point the process will pay you back."

Very similar to what Napier said and would always talk about, just used the word “plan”

Golesh will be way better than Napier but we definitely would hate to hear that bullshite again

Teenagers and internet slobs will like Sumrall's better but honestly Golesh's is clearly the more practical and better. You CAN only control your own processes and actions and hope/trust that pays off by winning.

Coming out of the gates with I'M A WINNER I WILL WIN, especially coming from the lower ranks up to big boy time, reeks of insecurity. Not to mention it inevitably WILL be turned around and used to mock him at a later date.

Golesh sounds a lot like Napier did.

Do we care who won the press conference?

I think both coaches are strong hires.

I disagree. Sumrall creates a positive energy. Sumrall had Gator Nation ready to run through a wall yesterday. Life is 99% mental and UF will get more from ATDL (Attitude, Toughness, Discipline, and Love) than a notebook with a plan in it.

Golesh is a dynamic coach unlike Napier and Sumrall

He is exactly what we needed - a hard arse who can get QB right and runs a dynamic offense

I like Golesh but I think Auburn fans are going to drive him nuts.
He didn't seem to like that golf question.
Not in Kansas anymore.

Good hire though for both programs although initially I though the programs should swap coaches in ref to fit.

After yesterday I say Sumrall is more what UF needs right now after Napier.

Golesh is a good coach but his message is the same exact message Napier gave

If Sumrall came out saying that the Sunbelt Billy 2.0 narrative would’ve been reinforced and he would’ve lost the fans even more

I do not disagree, but UF fans are already poised to yell Napier 2.0 if the season starts poorly.

But the bottom line is these guys get paid plenty and part of that is taking the fan heat, navigating boosters and dealing with teenagers with massive egos.

Napier yes, but how is Sumrall not dynamic?

Golesh has been owned by Silverfield and Sumrall despite having the recruiting and resources advantage.

Wow, TROJANFORCEONE likes the Florida hire more than the Auburn hire. I, for one, did not see that coming.

And Golesh also dealt Nick Saban defenses fits at both TN and S Fla

Cignetti did the same and he backed it up.

Sumrall will have to back it up now.

I have heard that several key Florida players are now looking elsewhere.

I think that they realize that his ceiling isn't very high.
