I can’t get my head around how ND can possibly be ranked ahead of Bama!
Combined record of teams Bama beat: 63-57
Record of teams played: 78-66
Now do Notre Dame:
Combined record of teams they beat: 54-65
Total record of all opponents: 73-70
They played 2 teams with 10 wins, lost both games. They beat 1 ranked team.. USC
Meanwhile Bama has beaten 2 teams with 10 wins or more, beat 4 ranked teams.
Not to mention Alabama is the regular season Champion of the SEC.. the best conference in football.
This is crazy that we have to beat Georgia again to ensure our spot..

You left out a very important metric.
Include rushing yards per game and it'll become clear why ND is ranked ahead of Bama

Oh yeah.. I forgot
If we could have only played 8 teams that rank in the 100’s in defense

Any SEC team that schedules an OOC game that the 2nd team couldn't start and win, is insane. Bring on the cupcakes. The team needs the break. This year has been an absolute grind.

Until we start to schedule a bunch of cupcakes and the committee suddenly decides that challenging yourself in non-conference play (ND is of course excluded from this because they refuse to join one) is of paramount importance in determining the field.

Yeah SEC teams should start scheduling all the bottom feeders of the Big 10 to wreck their comparative resumes

They’ll move the goalposts if SEC teams start doing that. Sankey needs to go!

I know that the common thought is that the committee will screw us over tomorrow and that's a reasonable take given their asinine reasoning for keeping us below Notre Dame.
I've got two questions that need to be answered: Where do you rank the regular season SEC champs? Does us clinching the SECCG add one of these arbitrary data points that the committee can use to bump us up in the rankings?
I anticipate that they'll say we didn't throw the ball well enough in our last two games and keep us at 10.

I think it depends on what the end goal is. If they want to keep conference championship games, they will not punish us if we lose to UGA. If they want to kill the championship games and expand the playoffs they will leave us out.
I think we will beat UGA but I also think the decision makers will do everything possible to squeeze every last cent out of the game before it eventually crashes and burns.

ND is not getting in. They'll be jumped by Bama and Miami.
