Who tf schedules a Memphis away game (that we lose) with no reciprocal home game? We gonna play some FCS teams away next?

Hunter did that. We went there first because they have thought we've "owed them" a home game since the 90s.

Just the bowl games in the exciting year a bowl game is a possibility.
At Memphis is bad, the same year as stAte at WMS is over the top.
Follow that up with a trip to Utah. This after the Jerry world series ends, cant help but throw away home games by the revenue guy.

2028 is the return game. We also play @ Notre Dame that year.
2029 Utah comes here
2030 Memphis returns for the second one we scheduled.
