LSU cares much, much more about winning than Florida. Insane buyout, LSU says okay. Get the most wanted coach. LSU does that. Congrats on having an athletic department that actually gives a shite about their Football program and acts on it

That's what I've been saying. Regardless if Lane wins a NC or not, the last two hires, they have bought out the coaches they were sure weren't the answer and went and landed the whale they wanted.

Not in Gainesville, we are a very college based town..now Tampa, Miami, Orlando are different...but Gainesvile is centered around UF and Shand's.

Sometimes I wish LSU would do more due diligence and spend less money. It obviously didn't work with Kelly. Either way, it's not my money.

Kelly was very weird pick for LSU..he matched our style more(spread, speed)..I have always thought about toughness when it comes to LSU, Bama, or Georgia.

This is not only an investment in Kiffin/LSU, but also an investment in our state. Our state needs this, for obvious reasons.

I think we want natties... But we definitely expect to be competitive in every game, actually win ranked match ups, and be in the conversation in November.

Isn’t UF constantly a contender for the NACDA Directors' Cup. Not saying LSU doesn’t compete in other sports too…..but the state of Florida doesn’t live and breathe Florida football. The entire state of Louisiana’s happiness hinges on football. LSU or the Saints.
Not a slight to LSU or Florida. But Louisiana doesn’t have nearly as much going on for it like Florida does. A UF fan won’t wake up on April the 3rd at 2 AM and worry about Drew Bree’s arm of if Les will like the taste of the grass grown in this climate.
