Got to be one of the worst hires in recent memory.

Pete may turn out to be a good hire. No one really knows. Time will tell.

And you know the Ole Miss AD was all smug like "Checkmate" when he pushed the button on that one.

Was an emotional hire for the ad. Should have taken some time over the next few days to calm down and make a rational decision.

Ole Miss is in a bad situation. This was their best option. Hopefully they were smart and didn’t agree to a massive buyout

Pretty smart if you ask me, Ole Miss is late to the coaching change game, and I am sure Golding was cheap. Spend the money on nil and give it a couple years. It's a punt, and punt is far from the worst thing in the football

Who was the last guy who went from shitty coordinator to good head coach in the SEC?

their Arnett moment. Let's hope he destroys their program like Arnett did ours. couldn't happen to a better, more deserving bunch.

Look on the bright side, Rebs. There's always baseba..........no, you're back to being little brother on that

Probably true but yall are headed to the playoffs and the guy has no head coaching experience. Maybe yall will get lucky and strike gold like lsu did with O. But I'd have gotten someone with some head coaching experience.

Guess we'll see

Also, they’re in a legitimate position to take a shot at winning some postseason games.

Maximize that. That’s more important than next year’s intangible season.
