I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Some dark days coming in Oxford if this is true

If I was an Ole Miss fan I’d be assembling torches and pitchforks right now.

Ole Miss should fire their A.D. today. I am absolutely stunned that with weeks to prepare and knowing Lane Kiffin‘s track record, the A.D. did not have one or two names of coaches that had more or less verbally agreed to take the job if when he bolted for LSU. The incompetence astounds me.

I know they’re a rival but I feel a little sorry for Ole Miss fans. Although they should have known what they were dealing with in Kiffin. But the AD hiring Golding permanently is malpractice in the leadership of that program.

I’m so glad that we didn’t have anything to do with Kiffin once Saban retired. Anyone with an ounce of common sense could see the drama that he brings.

I’ve used this crude line before, he has the emotional maturity of a 16 year old girl at that time of the month.

As far as Kiffin goes, I had hoped all the BS of him maturing and settling down was true. It was not, not at all. You can’t make a housewife out of a ho’

I’m genuinely surprised that he left Ole Miss with all of the beautiful coeds at his disposal there. He’s going to have to be all football at LSU.

Probably just a glorified interim coach for 2026 season. I imagine it would be hard for a team to get a decent coach his late in the season after one of the craziest coaching carousels.

I think they were genuinely surprised and just assumed that Kiffin would stay if they equaled the financial commitment. Shockingly, he's still the same piece of low rent gutter filth he has always been.

The only counterpoint that I could offer is that they just wanted continuity. All but two of the staff are staying (GM and S&C coach).

They were so far behind in the process and this just the year to get into a coaching search with all the big time openings. It’s was either keep the core together or go out on a limb and hire a guy like Chesney from JMU and blow it all up. That said, Chesney is still talking to Penn State, so there’s no guarantee there.

End of the day, Ole Miss is in a miserable position.

Oof. At least he won't be their defensive coordinator, so that's a positive for them.
