There's no need to have all those byes. Play it all out like March Madness Regional. Round one - 16 at 1, 15 at 2....10 at 7, 9 at 8.

Would the top conference record get the championship and not have a CCG

Not Sure Conf Champiosnhips mean anthing these days, with the expanded confercnes and no divisions, not only to contentors not always have head to head, they dont even have many common opponets. So each conf can do what it wants for a "champion", but the playoff shold just invite the Highest rated team from at least 5 confrences. so thats why I have Tulane getting in and Miami over Virginia

2 reasons I dont like this

- my system places more empahaiss on reg season with a significant difference in fishing the season in top 4 vs just top 15

- Top 4 only have to win 3 post season games, most teams will play about 2 post season games, 4-5 is too many

It could mess up playoff seating

I like the playoffs idea, but the truth is, the rankings of these final 16 is totally inaccurate. The bias and subjectivity is laughable.

There has to be a better way to accurately judge each team.

Utah barely beat freaking low life kansas this weekend. Notre Dame is a joke. Texas isn't that good. Oklahoma isn't either. Tulane? Miami? Come on man....

24 teams, top 8 get a bye. All games will be hosted by the bowls. 23 games total. Just like the NCAA FCS has been doing for years, sans the bowls.

I would bring back the computer ranking average as at least a part of the ranking system

but the teans you listed are ranked similarly by the computers.... which teams do you want in?

My opinion is the Top 7 you have listed are the real deal...in without question. I would have Vandy at #8...and I'm not kidding.

After that...I don't have the answers.

I hate byes. If the committee takes player lose into consideration, why would they allow byes that could cause an extra chance of injuries to key players?

How does a bye cause injuries?

If too many games is the concern why play the CCG?

Top 4 only have to win 3 total past season games in my system

16 teams. No byes.

No rankings until after all championship games are played.

frick that. 12 teams and get rid of the conference champ games. Way too much time off for the top teams, hard to maintain any kind of rhythm when you get 3 weeks off and hve to face an opponent that has been able to play 1-2 games coming in.

Plus, I don’t need to see a bunch of 3 loss teams get a shot at a title

LESS TEAMS IN PLAYOFF. THIS ISN'T BASKETBALL. #16: AIN'T WINNING IN FOOTBALL

8 teams. P5 conference champs, g4 champ. 2 wilds. That's it.

No byes. The home field games are extremely valuable for universities and the cities they are in. Playing the bottom 4 teams should be automatic wins. I do think with 9 game conference slate that the era of championship game is over. Just share titles

True none of these teams are going to win the title, but these are some quality matchups, and need the extra round to make up for losing the CCGs

16 Tulane @9 ND
15 Utah @ 10 Alabama
14Texas @ 11 Byu
13 Miami @ 12 Vanderbilt

Under my sytem the top 12 all get a playoff home game, great for the sport and for the towns

(i) reward the top 4 from reg season with spot in the quarters and a home game to start

(ii) allow 5 total rounds for TV to make up for loss of CCGs

(iii) allow teams in the 10-15 range to play playoff games agaisnt each other

btw this is the CURRENT format of the SEC baseball torunament (also used by Big 10 basketball and others)
