Kiffin might actually be the biggest loser on the planet.

You just took Ole Miss to its best season ever with a D2 QB and you wont even see it out to the end. Ole Miss would have come up with the money.
Lane wants Saban so badly.

This board is going to be in shambles for a long, long time

He could have won a national championship. Who knows you can’t guarantee you ever get that chance again

Nah, he’s gonna win 9-10 games over the next 5 years and will be fired. Hes never met a bridge he couldn’t burn down. Trash

We did. We offered him exactly the same as LSU. In the end, he just wanted a big empty stadium in a crime infested city.

Sounds like Lane wanted to coach and OM said otherwise. In what way could Lane have handled this better?

Actually I think programs like LSU can guarantee they get that chance every year, maybe every other, if they have a good coach. Kiffin thinks of himself as a good coach.
Ole Miss will never be an annual title contender. Unless Kiffin wants to commit to a few decades of turning Oxford into a CFB destination program, he’s better off leaving.
But I agree that chasing money, clout, and glory is a “loser” mentality. That kind of winning is what literature and religious texts have spoken against for millennia.

Kiffin will need some good coordinators

Looks like we might be doing the same thing we did in 2022. LSU fans so proud they hired a big name a-hole coach, some rich Cajun has to shell out millions just to get rid of him a few years later.

I think LSU fans will show their asses during the off season and early part of the season before talking about next year.
Kiffin is going to need to make a significant jump in his performances to meet LSU expectations.
You'll expect him to be 66% or higher when playing ranked teams. Instead, that's the record of ranked teams against him currently.
You'll expect him to win big games. However despite his resume of coaching at big programs, he has a total of 2 top5 wins. 1 of them at USC in 2011 against Oregon, and the win against Georgia last year.
His record this year is on the easiest schedule in the SEC. Georgia and Oklahoma were the only ranked teams they played, going 50/50. They didn't play any other ranked or good opponents the rest of this season.
On top of that he losses many games he has no business losing. Such as the game against LSU last year he threw at the end. Or the loss to Kentucky. And of course, lost to Florida as well.
Fools gold, but you're all gonna flash it like you just hired Saban.

Just like SMU could have won a championship last year. Or ASU last year.

Yep.
People can always learn. He can get more mature, fix his errors, etc. But that's what it will take to meet LSU expectations.
