Ty as a first year starter has hit a wall mid-season but the coaching staff puts him in awful situations.

- Poor run fits.
- Continued runs in the middle when at times outside runs are there.
- Lack of screens and slants
- Huddling and Pre-Snap reads.
- Long developing drives while getting blitzed consistently.
- QB runs on obvious rushing downs.

Just look at Ty's eyes during games. The dude is playing with high anxiety. That's why he ends up launching balls and has lost his touch.

frick, help that boy.

Ty has happy feet when he has ALL day in the pocket. Did he take a big hit a few games back that I missed because he is not the same guy

Look at the LSU/Oklahoma/Auburn games..... dude has .5 seconds to get rid of the ball.

There are 2 or so plays a game where a runner is free and smacks the shite out of him.

He’s gotten rocked multiple times. Say what you want about Ty, but he’s physically tough!

At least DeBoer proved he has a pair of nuts on him

Holly Rowe said that Ty was having an electrical stimulator applied to his hip/back between series. He got mauled during the Missouri game, and has not been as sharp ever since. Obviously he's playing through pain.

DeBoer either got balls he carries around in a wheelbarrow or he's got a death wish. If that blew up on him, he was going to need protective custody.

The DeBoer offense is all about vertical attack and route combos that have deeper switches than most offenses. I fear these problems are not bugs but features.

Yea but you fit the offense around the personnel. Our OL is poor at communication. We probably shouldn’t pull and use big bodies in a more athletic run scheme.

You slant, screen them to death. Earlier in the year, I felt we were way more creative in the screen game.

My biggest gripe - let’s get into a draw or a screen when we see blitz.

But I don’t know if UGa will blitz much.

Good for us though is that their pass rush will be the worst we’ve seen in a while. Maybe since we played them. Not including EIU.

UGA has found a pass rush that they didn’t have in round 1.

We better fix our plays against the blitz

No they haven’t. They are 113th in the nation in sacks.

This is why he never panned out, and lost the QB competition to Milroe.

He plays scared.

He seemed to find his mojo after the FSU game, but then lost it again.

He's just a fricking headcase at this point. I honestly hope he moves on after this season. I can't take another year of him at QB.

Coaches generally have a “thing” that they do, regardless of the personnel. I understand that doesn’t sit well with some people here and with a fan base that doesn’t cotton to any retooling projects and expects results on the field, period. I’m not sure DeBoer understands that yet.

This offense doesn’t work unless you have an elite quarterback who can process everything and an effective running game. We have neither.

I said this in another thread, I don’t have a problem with the scheme. I am beginning to have problems with a play caller who at times seems only concerned about displaying his football IQ and when something is working either gets bored with it or gets afraid that the opponent will figure it out, instead of running it until they prove they can stop it.

Which is awesome when you don't have a headcase at QB.

Same issues milroe had last year. I'm beginning to think this is the Deboer offense. Oh wait... He just needs his players... That'll make the difference. ... Yea right

Perhaps Russell is the reincarnation of Penix?

The essential player in the offense is a quarterback who can process everything. Neither Milroe nor Ty has been him.
