The real solution is a fully rotating schedule where we didn't have to give them their national championship game every year....But if we MUST play auburn, there is no doubt the game needs to be moved. Playing them at the end of the year given auburn so much motivation. If the game is middle of the year, it completely changes the dynamics of this game..

Think about tonight. This is auburn's wet dream to their terrible season.....The got Bama:
At home
At night
Make or break-game for our playoff hopes
National TV
Prime time, night game
auburn has nothing to lose
The refs usually get on their side there

Have no idea why our admin can't see how much this plays into motivation for auburn and do something about this game.

I wish people would quit whinging and just be rooting for our men to go out there and find a way to get it done.

Furthermore, how the hell are we going to dictate to Auburn where their home Iron Bowl game is played? If Birmingham had a stadium more in line with NFL seating capacity (60-80k) instead of sub-50k and the schools agreed to revenue share some naming rights to the Iron Bowl game for NIL funds, maybe it would be a neutral field game again.

Seems like something Woodfin should be trying to put together as a plan to present to each school. However I think the loss on tickets is going to require a mighty naming rights deal that I'm not sure would be worth both side's time. Furthermore, Protective Stadium would need a considerable upgrade that would end up being a considerable burden on tax payers somehow.

If Bama is anywhere near a championship level team, then we should beat the piss out of Auburn tonight. No excuses.

You are entitled to your opinion. But if the game was moved to earlier in season, I guarantee there would be positive benefit for our team and less benefits for auburn. And thats always a good thing. auburn would be a distant forgotten loser team in the memory of this season. Instead they get a primetime tv game to ruin our season. Think about it

Not location, the time of season its played. Needs to be earlier in season.

No, you want to try to make things as easy as possible because you're scared that Bama may have to play a motivated opponent.

Bama should have plenty of its own motivation, so it should be a wash.

If you can't beat a bad fAU team that is MoTiVaTeD, you sure as shite aren't winning an NC.

We’re playing a 5-6 team who fired their coach and playing their back up QB who transferred from Stanford. Who gives a shite if they hate us. We hate them too.

If I was a 6’5” 240 lb bad arse and my next door neighbor was 5’7” and hated my guts and wanted to fight once a year in his yard, I’d go beat his bitch arse.

Let’s go beat their bitch arse

Exactly, why play them when they have the most motivation to try and win; while at the same time giving them relevance?

Woodfin didn't even consult with Alabama A&M and Alabama State before building that miniature shite for UAB when the Magic City Classic clears 60k every year. Think about this... The MCC is the ONLY thing left of old Birmingham, and it's at risk of becoming a home and home since Legion Field is all but dead.

If he or Birmingham wanted the Iron Bowl back, they would've built a brand new state of the art stadium of suitable size instead of letting the city get mired in crime and mismanagement.

New stadium only seating 45k is silly.

It is so Birmingham that they finally get an opportunity to build a new stadium but what they made is ultimately an insufficient venue for hosting major events. It seems silly that they built something tailor made for an FBS program that will probably be shuttered due to NIL realities in a decade or so plus spring league pro football and 2nd tier soccer.

Not no, but hell no. Why kill more traditional rivalry games at the end of the year. It’s what makes college football great to have these rivalry games with everything on the line.

I love these pressure type games and I hope it goes down to the wire and the barn tastes victory only to have Bama crush their fricking hopes and dreams and their left drowning in their fricking tears wondering what the frick happened.

Santa if you’re listening this is what I want for Christmas

If Bama can't go down and take care of business with this bad Auburn squad then they aren't a playoff team anyway.
