I used to live for sports of almost any kind but now at 89, I pretty much only follow College Football , and for 6:30 or later starts only the first half. 
For all of you younger fanatics, have a safe Thanksgiving and enjoy your Family and Friends, because that's all it's really about.

Amen. As a young man I thought fans of opposing schools, particularly rival schools, were the enemy. As I’ve grown older I’ve come to realize that we’re all a part of a small and unique group on planet earth. We’re much more alike than we are different. You all are my people. Happy Thanksgiving.

Great post Gramps hope your Thanksgiving is everything you love! Don’t you miss the days when you could take your lever action rifle and kill a deer almost anywhere! You have been blessed brother, as we all are able to celebrate free and worship God!

Right there with you 1937… as a kid, I couldn’t miss an MLB playoff game and sure as heck wouldn’t miss a second of the Olympics.
I couldn’t give to rips about any of that. College football is all I care about.

My 97 year old dad is right there with you. We will get the game on for him, but he will be asleep before halftime. He’s A&M class of ‘49. His older brother (‘42) was a fish in 1939.
