If we beat auburn and that fricking rabbit voodoo but lose to a&m we’re 100% getting left out of the playoffs. Behind notre dame is an easy giveaway + the dumbass reasons they’ve come up with and the language being used vs last year. Hopefully win out and doesn’t matter or chaos but Byrne and Sankey better be ready. Potential tipping point for conference championship games.

Explain how ? When you actually think about it, it’s not likely.

BYU is 11 and is playing in a conference championship if they lose let’s say they drop 1 to 12 and Miami moves up 1. You’re saying Miami jumps two conference champ runner ups? Not likely.

It will kill conference championship games if we’re in the top 10 before the game and fall out after it.

The problem with the committee is how far Miami is behind ND after beating ND. So who knows.

I realize that I go a little deep in the woods reading about the behind the scenes stuff...but yall need to chill out. Bama is gonna beat Auburn and then A&M. IF they just beat Auburn, they are 100% still in the playoffs.

Why you ask? Many reasons...but two big ones.
1) If the committee were to deny a team that was IN before the CG for losing, they would DESTROY conference championship games...which bring in far too much money for the decision makers to jeopardize.
2) If the committee were to leave out an SEC team from a 12 team playoff that was 10-2(before CG)with a top 10 SOS, top 5 win, two top 20 wins and a top 25 win...the SEC would have incredible leverage to make insane demands for negotiations for the next CFB Playoff contract(which are currently going on)

Lighten up people, and stop creating new threads on this...its embarrassing

If we beat Auburn and stay at 10 and then lose the SECCG they are going to drop us to make room for a team from a conference that isn’t in the SEC. Y’all better get ready because that will definitely happen. And if it does Sanky needs to sack the f up and go back to an 8 game conference schedule and threaten to yank the SEC out of the current model. Sanky needs to take this opportunity to work with ESPN and develop a completely different championship model.

Upvote for the same concern... but Bama has done this to themselves and I refuse to worry about what they can't control. I hate the self-inflicted mistakes cost us the Oklahoma game (and Oki has our number right now).

I'm glad the players are not thinking like this, however. They see one game in front of them... and from leaks, at least the staff, has been preparing in advance.

Beat Auburn... that is ALL.

Because the committee is inconsistent and flies by the seat of their pants.

What a new and interesting take. This hasn’t yet been discussed ad nauseam on this board and definitely deserved a new thread

Beat Auburn and I think we're in regardless...but will still pull for TX Tech to beat BYU. I think that's the scenario that could hurt us if we lose in the SECCG...if BYU wins the big 12.

And neither BYU or TX Tech can touch our resume...system sucks.

Who? So you’re saying Miami jumps two conference championship runner ups?

This is as of today so it’s about 15% higher than the week before.

They need to do away with automatic bids and develop some ranking system to determine the 12 teams. Seed the tournament based on ranks.
Just because you’re the ACC champion doesn’t mean you’re one of the top 12 teams in the nation!

michigan beats tosu then beats indy in the b1g 'ship. therefore mich, tosu, indy and oregon are all in.

byu wins out putting both tt and byu in.

bama loses any remaining game gets bumped out, gladly, by the b1g's personal committee

I wouldn’t trust you to make good on a bet if you have to take out a loan.
