This is not my report so no idea how true this is but why not pass it along?

Lane doesn’t need that prescription.

Hope for LSU's sake this is true. Not a good look trying to screw a coach out of the money they are owed. He was clearly fired for on the field performance.

That’s good news for BK & LSU, to be honest.
Trying to scrape together a “for cause” termination after the fact is really slimy.

I heard something on the radio in ATL today about the buyout saying he has to seek employment as part of the buyout contract but he can't actively seek employment until he gets the formal letter of termination, and if that letter is For Cause then it will be real hard for him to get hired somewhere, meaning LSU can't force him to look for work to reduce the buyout. Something along those lines, but I was navigating an insane Kroger parking lot at the time and not fully focused on the radio report.

LSU poors have royally fricked this up. I would say they are 90% likely to hire down now and they are headed to Nebraska status.

Story has legs…it looks like the CLK and Sexton may have broken them at LSU…

Weird all the LSU fans on here assured us he did something wrong and they wouldn’t be paying the buyout

They can’t. The AG legal team not wanting to lose in court doesn’t change that.

The dumb-arses Woodward and co. couldn't have fired him for cause, as it would have required a 7 day response from Kelly's legal reps. Woodward just decided to emulate James Franklins' firing... assuming the LSU Boosters (hereafter known as the LOSER club) would pay the buyout. They balked. So would I.

So, LSU pulled its head out of its arse? Hard to believe. Perhaps Lane made it a condition of acceptance..LoL

After all this board's handwringing over BK's buyout.

Yes, LSU made itself the fool for no apparent reason. Strong leadership...

And it has to be legitimate work. TE coach at some FCS team in New Hampshire isn't gonna cut it.
How many programs are going to interview him for an HC job when he's made it clear that he doesn't want to work?
