Could Kiffin be the next Bear?

Bear won at Kentucky and won at Texas A&M but he never sniffed a national championship at either school. However, he was 44, 6 years younger than LK, when he left the Aggies and went to Alabama. We know what happened next.
What's forgotten is how controversial Bear was and at one time was probably the most hated coach in America. The media absolutely hated him. Just as it is about Lane as the WSJ said he was him "College Football's Most Hated Man" today.

Beautiful fan fiction.

Far more likely that he is 9-3 to 11-1, makes a few playoffs, and never wins a NC at LSU or where er he coaches next.

Yes that’s the plan and exactly how Coach Kiffin see’s it

He'd have to gain a lot of weight, grow out his body hair, and change his sexual orientation, but i guess anything is possible.

He sniffed a national championship at Kentucky in 1950 and Texas A&M in 1956 and 1957. Had the news about him being hired at Alabama not broken, it's likely A&M wins it all in '57.

Bear Bryant’s first three seasons at Alabama saw him win 5, 7 and 8 games. His best SEC finish was 3rd.
If Lane does that he will be unemployed at the end of year three.

LSU has had 4 coaches in the last 26 years. That's an average of 6.5 years per coach. None of them were fired at the end of year 3.

He will be a fatass again within a year in Baton Rouge. Did you see what happened to Woodward?

True. But add in its proper context and it's nothing close to what Lane is falling into at LSU. Alabama won four games total in the three years prior to Bryant's arrival and won five games (5-4-1) his first season. He then went 7-2-2 his second season and 8-1-2 his third season. They were clearly improving every season under him from the lows that were the J.B. "Ears" Whitworth era of Alabama Football.

We literally claim a title from when he was here.
No worse than some other conference members' claims

Yeah, a bear that lays in front of the fireplace. He left Tennessee and ran off to USC and turned into a flop. He could do the same thing leave Ole Miss and go to the next school and flop again. Now that would be karma..

I think it’d be prudent to wait a bit and first see if Kiff can be the next Saban, Les or Coach O first and win a Natty.

True. But you fired Orgeron less than 3 years after winning a national championship and Kelly less than 3 years after winning the SEC west.
If Kiffin doesn’t play for the SEC championship or make the playoffs in his first three years it is hard to see him making it to year 4.

No the Bear was the embodiment of Southern football. Dude didn’t quit drinking whiskey so he could have a cute ESPN write up
