I know we have a few younger guys on here that a coaching change is new for. But there is not some secret master plan going on. Our own program is being hurt by this Lane Kiffin stuff. If this was some master plan, he's doing it to the detriment of the program. 4d chess doesn't exist. From every piece of evidence, this man is gone. He's stupid to go but he doesn't want to be here anymore. We will be fine but it looks like it may turn ugly pretty quickly. Hopefully he can leave with honor and class but I don't think that is in his nature. Just prepare yourself. I, for one, am at the point where the Rubicon has been crossed and he just needs to go.

I said this in another post but he's past the point of return. It would be awkward and gross if he was staying, now.

Kiffin has always seen Ole Miss as below him. The disrespect he’s showing our program over the past month isn’t feigned. I hope he has an awful time in Baton Rouge.

“I hope he has an awful time in Baton Rouge.” Sounds like a new Lainey Wilson song, and I couldn’t agree more. As somebody else said, and it may have been one of you guys, I’d just feel dirty if he stayed which he absolutely is not.

And another thing, if most all of our assistant coaches want to stay, outside of his brother of course, that speaks volumes as well.

I think most rational coaches would realize they're in a great position, the ego maniac always needs something better

I see folks saying this about the staff, but what is the source for this? I know with Pete, he's getting paid big money for a DC and it is said he would stay, but for the rest of the staff, is this just a rumor or is this actually sourced?

The issue is what coach wants to take on a new gig and not bring in his own guys?

No source for me outside of this board.

I've heard from many places that Pete does not want to leave and is pretty pissed at Lane. I know that Ben Garrett's sources are the assistant staff and he's pretty adamant that a lot of them thought they had it good here, have settled into Oxford with their families, and think Lane is fricking up a good situation. You will have some that hitch their wagon to Lane, for sure, but I doubt it's many. Plus, there are several that know this is their best chance for a ring. They all get performance bonuses for each round of the playoffs, so that is good too.

It’s business. He still wants something from OM. It may be just to coach a playoff game. Or he wants us to pay more $.

He wants the playoff game to be a Lane Kiffin commercial. That’s his only play. He doesn’t give a frick about us at all.

Only a complete autist would think he can have his cake and eat it too in this situation

This is what I keep coming back to. What's the offer he can't refuse to stay? Has that been offered? If so and he turned it down, is there something deeper at play here? I'm more interested in hearing his justification for whatever he does, more so than where he actually goes/stays at this point.

Sorry I posted the following in another thread already, but this is the place for it. LSU insider on local radio in my area this morning said he's been led to believe Golding would go to LSU with Kiffin.

If he stays he will be knee capped by his behavior. He pissed off the money which, unless you're 12, you realize is extremely stupid to do.
