What's in it for Ole Miss to come out and announce there will be an announcement?
Ole Miss has to see some positive in doing that. Odd to announce that if he's going to say he's leaving. Schools don't have a PC to announce their coach is taking another job.

In their defense, they said there would be an announcement and not that they'd make the announcement. I think Lane will put out a 'heartfelt' message on twitter and resign to take the LSU job on Saturday. I figure it will start to leak on Friday morning, probably right before kickoff.
