I was pretty amazed with how you were able to keep the game with Ohio State so close even though your quarterback was playing like crap. That says a lot about your defense. He’s really improved throughout the year, however. Your team, overall, has greatly improved as well. You all play really really good at home. It’s going to be a tough game and could go either way. Looking forward to watching it!

It was Arch who improved. He was terrible half the season. Texas is a much better team with a serviceable QB.

That is true, but their oline wasn’t helping much.

While they definitely have improved, Day was choosing to keep his cards to his chest offensively. It was clear that Arch was just not executing. Day has seen many high level QBs. Many.

I’m quite certain he saw his form, saw his general accuracy issues and felt like there was no reason to not to just trust his defense. His defense is one of the best units ever formed.

So if your competition is skipping balls off the turf and you’ve got a defense that is OSUs, are you really gonna pull out the whole playbook in the first game of the season?

I agree they are improved. But I don’t take that OSU close win as anything other than a decision by Day to keep people healthy against an inferior team realizing they weren’t going to lose to Arch.

In no sane world could anyone watch Arch shite the bed game after game and say, it's all the OL's fault.

TU? Good God.

Had anybody except for Faggies fans heard of that abbreviation before Texas joined the SEC?

It’s possible that they were both playing badly.

I agree. It’s not his fault. But it is his problem his OL sucks. And he doesn’t deal with that issue well. It’s not about fault. No one gives a shite about whose fault it is.

Six weeks ago, I thought Aggy would beat t.u. by 20+.

Their improvement in the second half of the season means that we have a real ballgame on Friday.

Big fun. I love having this game back on the schedule.

I think most of us Horn fans have felt some version of “amazed” all season. Like you said amazed that we kept it so close w Ohio State given Arch’s case of the yips, amazed how good our defense was given the losses to NFL, amazed how terrible our OL and running game are, amazed how suddenly our secondary has more holes than Swiss cheese, and yes, amazed at Arch’s improvement as the season has progressed.

Not sure it’s our year to beat A&M though. I’ve been saying this since after the ND game but A&M has looked like the most consistent and balanced team in the country all year. Reed’s improvement since last year is phenomenal, and I can’t remember a better A&M offense in my life.

I just think the combination of Concepcion (and I forget other receivers name) combined with Reed’s run threat will be too much for this defense. Maybe not last year’s defense but this years. Combine that with the fact that we have no run game to help keep your offense off the field. I just think our defense and OL will need the game of their lives to get a W.

As usual you have a very stupid post. Texas went for it at the goal line and was stopped, Texas was in the red zone again in the last minute of the game and couldn't score. Day was NOT holding back. His defense saved him.

There’s no excuse to be a “young team” in the NIL era, but that’s what we were. We sort of just sat on our hands all-offseason outside the acquisition of a couple portal starters. In retrospect, there should have been more of an effort to support Arch with an influx of proven veteran weapons, especially a RB. I don’t know what Sark was thinking.

Aggy vs Texas should be a good one. I remember those games in the 70's. I loved Thanksgiving, knowing they would be playing.

Many times records don't matter. This is one of those times. Aggy is loaded. Tejas has some serious defensive talent. I can't wait to watch.

It’s what their name was originally. Texas University. Don’t make it hard. It’s not hard.

They originally were Texas University, then when there were multiple schools, they changed their name.

We aren’t doing anything other than holding with what they originally called themselves.

Don’t make it for more than what it is.
