The bare minimum expectations will be so high...I mean they will expect playoff the first year or 2 for sure. they will certainly have a chance to that with kiffin but it will not be easy. If kiffin has any struggles at all he has no idea how that fanbase will pounce. he watched them worship saban, FAU, Ole miss fans aren't a problem.....Vols he dipped out.....He has never been head man with a fan base that will burn your effigy if you don't get it done....and I doubt he won't have something to say back. will be highly entertaining.

Kiffin will win at LSU.
To win at the level LSU fans will expect however, Lane will need to focus on his teams having that physical grit and edge that the championship level SEC teams almost always possess.

TBD whether Kiffin even comes to LSU; but the amount of Kiffin/LSU threads rampant on the board are indeed telling.

You can’t blame those on the outside for being skeptical about making Kiffin the highest paid coach. He’s a good coach but the baggage and drama he brings - there’s a good chance someone is about to overpay and not get the results they’re looking for.

And the one that didn’t is being shafted by a spurious “morals” angle to gyp him out of what they agreed to pay him.
I’m no Brian Kelly fan, but this tack that LSU is taking with him is just bad character. They and Kiffin deserve each other.

Alabama will eventually hire him away from LSU and that will officially break them forever. Saban at Alabama was more than they could take and if it happens again it will bury most of them.
