I actually feel a bit sorry for Ole Miss fans:

Your coach is literally walking into some of the biggest games of his and your programs history, and he is negotiating with another university?

I mean ... holy shite what a kick to the sack. I guess it'll be fair to say that Lane can never complain about a player leaving him in the middle of the season or jumping into the portal.

That is Lane Kiffin.

As someone who still hopes he stays, he is absolutely destroyed his reputation on a national level.

Yea, I feel bad for his team, players, and others who are associated with the program. Dude is really kind of fricking them over with all of this.

I guess he is a bit jaded after being left on a tarmac.

I feel for them too. They actually thought that they were an ascending program. That they were a destination program now. They are in the hunt to win a natty and their coach still feels that he has a brighter future elsewhere.

That’s a tough pill to swallow.

When Kiffin is your coach, this is what you sign up for. It won't be any different if he comes to LSU.

If it makes you feel better it might also happen to missouri even without a playoff appearance

On College GameDay this morning Nick Saban addressed this saying it was the system that created situations like this, schools allowed to poach coaches during the season, the portal during the playoffs and such.

Kiffin isn't the bad guy at least not solely responsible for this, he's just playing the hand he's been dealt.

Lane Kiffin was a terrible human being long before this

It’s pretty shitty. 100% on Kiffin. LSU is doing nothing wrong… just pursuing the coach they want.

I see no legit reason why LSU would have leaked anything.

It’s a tarnish on the ole miss program for sure. Just wait ll the negative recruiting starts. If I was on the trail and battling ole miss for recruits I’d make it a point to remind them that their ball coach left in the midst of a playoff run for a school that can compete for playoffs.

LSU leaked it so that they can get him locked up before he changes his mind again

There’s a reason people say you reap what you sow. Everyone knew Lane Kiffin’s history with the programs he coached before and how things ended at each stop. Ole Miss took the risk of hiring him knowing there was always a chance he’d walk away eventually. Now that Ole Miss has shown it’s willing to invest and stay competitive, the next solid head coach will likely be interested in taking the job. It shouldn’t be a long-term problem. At least they aren’t Mississippi State.

He's literally doing what he was upset with Quinson Judkins for doing last year. Ole Miss supposedly gave Judkins what he asked for - it still wasn't enough. Judkins left and won a championship and is now in the NFL. Ole Miss has given Kiffin everything he has asked for, but its apparently not enough. Kiffin may end up winning one at LSU; but if he feels like he doesn't have what it takes to make it happen at Ole Miss when he's literally a few games away then so be it. But he can't get frustrated about the players being hired mercenaries when that's what he is.

I don’t see anywhere but some idiots on this board where Ole Miss looks bad. We absolutely knew the risk and the risk was worth it. Everyone knows that Ole Miss has stepped up and offered to give Lane everything he wants. We’ve proven, as a program, to be fully committed to winning.

If it makes you feel better, your season is already in the toilet and no one wants your coach anyway.
