How the frick can you not hate the guy at the moment?

I see a lot of making fun of LSU and Florida fans from your posters. But if that's really what he's doing he's currently self-sabotoging the best chance his team has had to compete for the National Championship since color television.

You know this shite is going to effect the mindset/preparation from those 18-23 year olds. Why would he be making it harder on himself to win it all this season if he's staying?

Nobody said we were happy with his antics. It’s like having a teenager. They do stupid shite and drive you up the fricking wall even after you give them everything they want and swear they won’t misbehave again. You still love them though

All a plot to keep y'all on the hook and have to panic buy.

Not our fault y'all are so desperate that it worked.

Seriously, this is the most delusional/ absurd thing I’ve ever heard if it’s the truth. Do OM fans even realize how much good he could be doing for your program right now if he just committed and signed that extension sitting on his desk for the last three weeks? The collective would explode, he would be landing all sorts of big fish in recruiting and could get your team super pumped up to make a splash in the playoffs. But no, he doesn’t choose to do that. I wonder why? Oh yeah, because it’s just best to frick with LSU and Florida that’s why. Yeah that makes total sense. ;)

Maybe the chess move is to delay and screw up the portal and hs recruitment for LSU and Florida. The longer he delays his decision, the harder it is for LSU and Florida to keep valuable roster and incoming NSD recruits. After all, signing with Ole Miss would indicate a long term commitment AND possibly make another CFP run with former LSU and Florida portal defectees.

I think he wants to leave but can’t figure out how to coach the playoffs (he can’t) and save face (national media is already roasting him).

If he stays it’s because he doesn’t feel like he has a choice.

Once again:

Do y'all realize how fricking stupid that sounds?

He is scared to death of a Tennessee type backlash. Unfortunately, it’s a little inevitable that it’s gonna be a harsh departure if he chooses to do so. That said, if he leaves before the egg bowl and they lose they’re maybe out of the playoff because their schedule is weak. That would make Lane’s departure way more harsh on him and the way the media would portray it. He wants to make sure they are in. Seems obvious at this point.

Keeping LSU and Florida in flux means Ole Miss is just as much in flux.

He’s not signing it because maybe he hasn’t made up his mind? He could just make his life easier by publicly saying he won’t consider any other jobs until after the season.

We have a bye week then play a shitty MSU. Round 1 is a month away. You’re acting like the playoff is this weekend.

He could have easily put this to rest weeks ago. I get that he's a troll, but it doesn't make any sense for a team that's playoff bound. I mean Sumrall told Florida to kick rocks just yesterday and that's lowly Tulane.

Maybe. Just find that hard to believe. He’s been there six years now, he knows if he wants to stay or go.

Just curious… how is LSU handling possible portal losses? What can you offer the team when you don’t even have a permanent head coach? The remaining staff can’t make believable promises when they can’t even be sure they will have a job under a new coach. Same with Florida. You could argue that Ile Miss will suffer similarly, but there is a HUGE difference when someone is working under temp conditions and trying to maintain status quo while worried about his next paycheck and putting out resumes.

Some haven't sniffed the playoffs in 5+ years. Take it easy on them.

Yeah, overlooking Mississippi State on the road is a really good way to go about this when you’re trying to get into the playoffs
