It must suck to be an OSU fan

There really nothing worse than when UGA faces shitty opponents in non-competitive games. Like, yeah, the game is going to be on Saturday but I’m not going to do anything special like cook a spread, have a get together, or what have you.
A good SEC game? Ssshhheeeeiiiittt…time to cook up all kinds of shite, get the dranks flowing, and sit down for a treat, ready to be locked in. So much fun.
How do tOSU fans even have passion for their team when their schedule is typically 1, maayyybbeee 2 games? The rest of the time they play straight trash teams. Like, what is exciting about being a Buckeye fan throughout a season? I don’t get it. Seems like the most Homeric, bandwagon fanbase possible as there’s nothing exciting about them except for the post season.

Big 10 football is very boring to watch. Just something about Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, just atrocious football.
Give me Michigan over Ohio State any day.

Yep. And the Michigan game is last game of the season. Maybe a decent non-conference game at the beginning. It’s months of boring Saturdays.
All these traditionally decent teams just suck and there’s not much hope to turn it around. Wisconsin, Michigan State etc. I saw today Penn State has lost 17 recruits since Franklin was fired. All the SEC schools combined have lost 1. It’s looking like even Penn State will be garbage for the foreseeable future. One day they will get tired of it.
The worry is what will they do about it. Already rumblings (according to the NYT) that Michigan and USC could leave if B10 goes down the private equity unequal share path. The worst thing that could happen is one massive superconference. Hopefully they find a better solution. It will require something drastic

That’s why it’s a badwagonish fan base. Like a Dodgers fan or Chiefs fan….who gives a shite about the regular season, I’ll just tune in “when the games matter”. As a ball fan, I just can’t imagine that.
Hell, read the game threads on here for most of the SEC matchups. Hella shite talking, dozens of pages, threads about what folks are cooking for the game, the adrenaline of a competitive game. We get that for half of our games, at least. That’s where I’m coming from.

top 3-5 BIG teams should just join the SEC and let's be done. Add a few from other unrepresented areas of the country and do away with conferences.

Ohio State would never do it, but frick ‘em. Same with Pedo State.
I think we’d happily take Oregon, USC, Michigan and I think they’d love to join, especially for recruiting purposes.

Just take the 16 best teams of the B1G and ACC and have a AFC vs NFC playoff between them andbthe SEC

Season ticket holders must love those titanic matchups. Everytime you look Ohio St is playing a Northwestern or Rutgers type.

I have a friend who is a huge Buckeye, goes to a Buckeye bar party every game. He just said it this week that it's getting boring having them play teams that are not a game.
Ohio State would lose one or two games a year if they had to play competitive games every week. They are good, but having to be good every week eventually takes a toll.
