Jesus Christ.

I went to bed early last night and woke up to a bunch of whiny bitches crying all over the place.

Who gives a shite where we are ranked?

We control our own destiny.

Instead of adopting a doom and gloom attitude, try believing in the team.

frick.

10 is what we deserve.

Who cares where someone else is

All the fretting comes down to “what if we lose”

Buddy, the solution is simple: don’t.

If you think the whining is bad here, it pales in comparison to what im hearing on a local sports talk radio station in north Alabama.
One is whining worse than Stan white bitching about the refs during an auburn game. Sounds a little like Stan too.

That's patently false.

If BAMA wins out, SECCG or not, we are in the CFP. So what's not true?

If Alabama wins 3 games in the next 3 weeks, they will not only be in but have a first round bye.

If we win out and don't make the SECCG, we are by rule getting jumped by the ACC champion. If BYU beats Texas Tech, that's another team who jumps us. That puts us at #12, on the outside looking in at the G5 team that the committee (again, by rule) has to place above us.

We most assuredly do NOT control our own destiny after the CFP rankings last night.

Well, if we win out then we are in the SECCG. So, yes we control our destiny.

Do you understand what control our own destiny means?

If we win out we are likely in the SECCG, but that is not guaranteed. If Vandy loses out, Arkansas beats Missouri, and everything else is chalk, we it's A&M vs. Georgia in Atlanta.

Do you? With respect to the playoffs, it means that no matter what happens elsewhere, if you win the rest of your games, you are 100% assured to be in the field.

In Alabama's case, we can win out and NOT appear in the SEC championship, and based on what happens around the country also NOT appear in the CFP.

That, BY DEFINITION, means Alabama does not "control its own destiny".

These kind of posts crack me up. It’s a gd message board and something controversial happened that tangibly affects our team….but everyone shut up about it!

Go to the link you provided. Use the following results:

November 22:
- Tennessee over Florida
- Oklahoma over Missouri
- Texas over Arkansas
- Kentucky over Vanderbilt

November 28-29:
- Ole Miss over Miss St
- Texas A&M over Texas
- Arkansas over Missouri
- Alabama over Auburn
- Oklahoma over LSU
- Tennessee over Vandy

Now, hit the "Calculate Standings" button, take a peek, and come back and tell me that Alabama controls its own destiny.

so you're just not open to debating any scenario on what happens to Bama if we win out until ATL and lose?

The only way Bama fans should get mad is if we win the next two and lose in the SECCG and that loss pushes us out of the playoffs. That would lead to some huge changes.

Don't lose that game.

Plain and simple.

I still think we'd get in.

SMU wasn't punished for losing to Clemson that year.

There's still a chance for Vanderbilt to finish 10-2.

You think the committee is going to put them in the CFP over us because we lost a third game while they sat at home?
