Since we're already talking about geographic indicators, is Swainsboro really South Georgia or is it East Georgia? Or, is East Georgia even a real thing?

I went to HS in Richmond Hill and live in Pooler and have always referred to the area as south GA. I dont think I have ever even seen someone use the phrase east GA. This could just be me though

Anything south of Macon is usually considered South Georgia.

The Channel 13 Straight From The Heart coverage area is all "Middle Georgia" lol.
Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Crawford, Dodge, Dooly, Hancock, Houston, Johnson, Jones, Laurens, Macon, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Telfair, Treutlen, Twiggs, Washington, Wheeler, Wilcox, and Wilkinson counties.
It's all subjective and imaginary, but Tifton is what I consider the start of South Georgia on I-75. There are at least 10 different business in Houston County named Middle Georgia something.

Forsyth/Macon/Warner Robins/Perry/Hawkinsville/Montezuma is middle Georgia.
South Georgia doesn't start till you get to Cordele IMO
