No, they had the luxury of 100+ rosters, and a different era. You have NIL and a brand name, still not out of the realm of possibility. UT, NE, and Miami all were great in their day, but haven't make it back.

Anybody who predicted that is a dumbasses literally. OU is in a fertile recruiting area unlike Nebraska. That alone is enough for OU.

Yes scheme wise OU is a bad matchup for Bama. Just like Georgia is a bad matchup for Texas.

No. Sooner boosters are the best kept secrets so far. Deep pockets and under the radar about it. Nebraska does too but joining the big ten hurt them. OU joining the SEC has paid some dividends finally.
