If it is just because of last Saturday. Don't.

MU's Off Coordinator took a high school game plan, removed all the quick easy passes that would have taken some of the pressure off his "playing for the first time" freshman QB, and ran with that plan all game long.
It did not work all game long, but he did not let that stop him.

So give A&M coaches whatever credit you want to give them for simply letting the other team beat itself and not getting in the way.

I don’t even think most A&M fans are excited about their defense

No one is getting excited about our defense.

I’m very excited about our offense. It is close to being elite.

Our defense, on the other hand, has some giant question marks.

It has been weird to see so many Mizzou threads trying to minimize A&M and excuse their own team the week AFTER the game.

This highlights that A&M is a complete team. Our offense gets us leads, and if that lead is in danger, our defense throws the opposing team backwards.

Exactly. A&M is only feasting on terrible competition. Nothing to see here.

This is misleading because it includes lost yardage from sacks.

We are #1 or #2 in almost every defensive stat when looking at SEC only stats but most A&M fans think our defense sucks and is a weakness. Not much excitement considering the results.

Negative plays affect team stats

Shouldn’t they? It seems to make sense to me that they should

But why would any team attempt a pass vs A&M if they don’t need to?

It makes sense to you that sacks on pass plays would inflate a rushing defense ranking? Ok.

Because don’t most broken plays that don’t result in a sack involve a qb trying to advance the ball by running

You either

A. Get sacked
B. Scramble or run with the ball
A distant C. Throw the ball away

Facts seem to upset the Aggies on this site but facts are still facts.

Offenses they’ve faced according to SP+:

UTSA - 45
Utah State - 51
ND - 6 (gave up 40)
Auburn - 62
Miss St. - 36
Florida - 72
Arky - 7 (gave up 42)
LSU - 63
Mizzou - 28

SEC conference schedule opponent record:

13-34 (Including USCe and Texas)
