Is it sort of a home game for Alabama, or will that oil money bid up and buy all the tickets?

It should set a record for get in the gate ticket prices.

We’ll probably have to bear Texas in Austin to get there. And we probably will, but they have a talented defense. If we don’t play well, we might not make it ti Atlanta.

And Alabama has an even better chance of dropping one to Auburn or OU.

They’re not dropping one to Auburn. Evidently they are a bipolar team.

Let’s be honest. It’s more likely that we’ll see Alabama A&M versus Alabama in ATL.

A&M looks like they are “playing the best” of any of the SEC teams.

We will absolutely have more fans at the game. By a wide margin.

I have a feeling we get out and travel for this game.

Atlanta is easy to get to and the govt opened back up.

Bama
Might be closer, but A$M will pull out that money for this one.

Most of the seats are held by long term ticket holders who started buying from SEC in 1992.

That oil money must be big. What sort of pricing do you think the secondary markets will see?

The record is like $600 for nosebleeds.
Could that get to $1000?

If the Aggies make it, they will have more fans because it’s something new for them.

Bama just needs to win one of the last 2. Don’t really care if they make it to Atlanta.

So the tickets have been closely held since 1992. It is sort of a day trip for many Bama fans.

I don’t think they will give up those seats without a premium- a substantial premium.

I assume most subscribers for the permanent SECCG tickets are Georgia/Bama/Auburn/Tennessee/LSU/Florida (Big 6).

There are only like 17K for each school.
I’m guessing 25,000 permanent seat holders and 12K corporate/League tickets.

Demand should be stout with new blood in the game, but it would surprise me IF the crowd is not tilted to Bama.

Texas fans did not show up last season. The only harder time I have ever had getting rid of my 4 tickets have been Missouri and Arkansas. Literally could not give away tickets to one of the Arkansas games. Normally when it is UT, UGA, UF, Auburn, Alabama or LSU I can make 3-4 times face value and sometimes much more than that....last year there was almost no interest in tickets. Almost had to actually use mine...

If that’s the case, then the game needs to be rotated between different cities. No way that’s a balanced situation.

Alabama people will go because it’s an easy trip.

A&M is a toss up, but if they’re 12-0 and chasing a special season + first trip to Atlanta + easy flights in + wealthy and large donor base…….I’m guessing they bring a pretty large contingent.

It was almost non existent last year with Texas in the game. ATM has been in the conference a long time now so there may be more interest but the game is pretty much meaningless as far as anything other than conference bragging rights and both fan bases know they are going to at least one playoff game somewhere and apparently waited to buy those tickets.

I was on the waiting list for many years.

Finally got uppers in 2010. Finally got an upgrade to mezzanine this year.

I’ve been when Auburn made it, but I’ve also gone to games like 2008/2009 Bama/Florida, 2012 Bama/Georgia, etc.

The SEC monitors how often you sell through ticket master so IF you sell all tickets every year, they redistribute your seat allocation.

Are the Aggies “richer” or “poorer” than Texas?

I get the feeling they have bags of money just laying around for a quick trip to ATL.

Probably a good sized diaspora as well positioned in various places within 300 miles of ATL.

I bet they set the record for ticket prices.

I have sold mine in the club section for $2500 each (UGA/BAMA) and could have gotten that in 2022 but we decided to go to that game. Seats are in one of the drinking sections so they were worth more back then but last season I just barely got rid of them without them costing me anything in fees. They usually go for about 2-3 times face value. I know a couple of people who said they were not buying them again after last season. I suspect they have changed their mind, plenty of people waiting, but they were cheap last season.

God I hope so LOL! Daddy needs a new pair of shoes! I, and a bunch of other folks, were salivating over Texas getting to the game in year one....and no one was happy with the price they eventually sold their tickets for. No one that I know anyway. Alabama fans will spend their money....Texas fans were apparently waiting for the playoffs. Whatever it was if last year is any indication they won't be much more than they would be when Arkansas and Missouri is in the game....but hope springs eternal...I'd like to put about $8k in my pocket toward the end of November. If they are as cheap this year as last I may go even if UGA ain't in the game.

Let me give you some perspective. Last year I sold some extra Texas tickets I had in the end zone, decent tickets but nothing special for $1300. That was with A&M on a losing streak with most people assuming it wasn't going to go well. Same tickets for South Carolina this weekend are running $4-500. Freaking Samford for an 11am game is running $300.

A&M goes to Atlanta we will travel.
