They made this a game. Played with great intensity. Front 7 terrorized Ty much of the game, and even when our guys blocked the pass rush they still found ways to affect the pocket and Ty's rhythm. The corners blanketed our WRs. Bama offense really had to earn every single yard. Quite the turnaround from last season.

Not that big a task considering Bama’s OL, and the Grubby refusing to throw in 10-15 yd areas vacated by blitzers

Yet we have Rant expert Analysts who are hating on this defense when the offense is shitting the bed evey game, every quarter. The defense made every game winnable to some extent except our aTm game where they got pushed around in the second half. But other than that they have done enough to have us at 8-1 if we had a decent offense.

Thought Blake had them prepared for this game. If he can figure out how to stop a mobile QB, he will have something special.

They were a bad matchup for us with their pass rush and DBs who can stand up to one on ones against our DBs and Baker called a hell of a game. Ty missed some throws against pressure that could have broken the dam, but that's part of the calculation you make with the risk of pressuring like Baker did and it worked. All our talk during the last 2 weeks was on hitting on big plays down the field, which was clearly the key to our offense in this one. We had mixed results there, but didn't hit enough to break things open.

LSU's weakness on defense was the run game and we aren't good enough to exploit that, so it really wasn't a great setup for us.

I mean, good defense plays below average offense........that's kind of the expectation isn't it?

Has the LSU offense been "on" at any point this season?

I wonder who wasn't on the LSU sidelines for last night's game?

I really wish it was because LsU defense is elite. Unfortunately it has more to do with the offense regressing. Somehow Alabama has become predictable, bad play calling, bad blocking in some instances. Ty played fairly poorly as well. He missed two deep balls that should have gone for 6 and ended the game. You will see how bad it’s gotten next week when this offense faces Oklahoma.

Thanks but that doesn’t make us feel better about the loss.

Losing is still losing and we looked absolutely pitiful at times.
Just like we have most of the season.
Tough times.

Congrats on the win though.
Not quite the same Alabama teams of the past with Saban cause he would have put us in the dirt early, but a win is a win.

Y’all are going to probably need find a little more game to make a run at it.

But what do I know y’all beat Georgia and I’m not really sure if there are any great teams minus Indiana.
