850k. Not bad for never starting a College Game.

Honestly, at this level, I think every team should do that.

Brian Kelly and Bustmeier have the same agent. When you realize that, it all starts to make sense.

Absolutely not a good idea to pay college QB's millions of dollars.

Lesson learned.

It's still hard to fathom this is the world of college football now when it wasn't that long ago Bama was hit with sanctions and forfeits because some players loaned their textbooks to some friends.

I still can't get over that. Almost everyone I knew, including myself, on any type of scholarship inclusive of books figured this out by Soph Year. Sign up for at least 1 class you know you will drop. Pay the ridiculous amount for the book. Drop the class and get 100$ or so selling it back.

It is laughable that it led to sanctions and forfeits.

You’re only paying your backup QB 450k though.

LSU can probably continue to land an ample share of the best 4 and 5-star skill position talent that can be found but if the quality of the big uglies up front goes down, good luck.

Whoever your next coach is will hopefully put a premium on line play.

They will never get the spotlight and attention of QBs, WRs and RBs, but good luck finding sustained success with a mediocre to poor O-line.

Wasn't that long ago?

I don’t think it’s just an LSU thing.

Definitely not. The U overpaid for Beck just as bad. I don't understand how someone with the smarts to earn millions would spend it on unproven college players. More money than brains, I guess.
