Currently is a distant 5th in the Heisman odds, and if the season ended today it would probably be Sayin, Ty Simpson, Mendoza and Marcel Reed at the ceremony.

But it was be pretty awesome if Stocton makes it to New York. Would be great for the program and also the juxtaposition of a quarterback who owns a bunch of barnyard animals and drives an antique truck being in New York would be played up by the media and would be cool to watch.

More people would also learn that his sister is named Georgia and his grandpa was one of the Dawg fans who got fire hosed after the Auburn game and died walking back to his WLOCP tailgate after the game doing what he loved. Make if happen.

I'll never understand why they don't wait until the complete end of the season to vote.

Because it wouldn’t be a popularity contest if they did that.

Because then it would be based entirely on actual results, not some actual results and a lot of projection. And if they did that, it wouldn't give sportscasters and pundits much to speculate about (or allow as many opportunities for "campaigns" *to "lobby" for their preferred player, which could, in theory - but never in practice, of course - cut into the potential for payoffs for favorable press and/or votes.

The pros base the MVP on the regular season too. If baseball waited until thee end of the season, somebody from one of the teams that made it to the World Series would win the MVP and Cy Young just about every year.

Especially now that the season is 2 games longer. Kinda stupid.

Stet would've won it walking away if they did the '22 balloting like that.

Honestly I think Pavia needs to be there. Few players have had a singular impact on a teams performance more than he has.

Vandy went from being the SEC doormat to a real threat.

I have a Gunner for Heisman ticket so I would love for him to get there and win it. His stats are good but he needs to put up crazy numbers these last four games to win. I’ve betted on the starter for us since Stetson last season and he got close that year. It was $50 to win like $2,500. Just $20 on Gunner to win like $300.

Seems like Ty Simpson has the lead. Bama is on a winning streak and if they make the SECCG and win out likely will win it. They are getting a lot of love form announcers. Gunner is having a great season but I think the perception which isn't right is he is a game manager.

It’s absolutely incredible what we are witnessing from Gunner

Dude had 1 start before this season and looks like it’s his fourth year on the job. The absolute perfect QB fit for the Kirby-Bobo-UGA philosophy

And just wait until next year
