From $440 last Saturday to $480 now on the low end. This game might break all time ticket sales price records two years in a row depending on how things shake out.

crazy new world. byu vs tech is no kind of rivalry game, but is a top 10 matchup with huge CFP implications.
Cheapest tickets are around $400 with many selling for 3x that.

Money is no object for Texans.
Might as well charge 1K per seat.
Chump change. Worrying about money is for the weak.

There's something else driving price here. It's beyond normal action for CFB tickets.
Regardless, I only posted this because I love predicting markets.
Acknowledgement: It deserves to be anchored. Not rant worthy to discuss ticket prices for games that are weeks out.

Tech loves their football team every bit as much as y’all do the Ags or us Longhorns, ours. Mix in the fact that Tech is having one of their best seasons ever.. $$$
Tell you what, if Texas Tech happens to get a home playoff game,.. You would not want to get that draw against them.

Crazy… is anyone still saying this is not a rivalry?
Not saying we will win, but prices will be totally nuts if we manage to get by Georgia and Arky…

Honestly, I don’t think it has much bearing on A&M one way or another. Same can be said of Texas.
Kids in Texas for the most part grow up either an Aggie or a Longhorn. The outcome of a football game doesn’t sway anything as far as us influencing each others recruits. The schools are culturally very different and we typically draw very different types of recruits and players.
And I am not talking about talent. Not even work ethic. It’s beyond that.
Now we draw recruits from the OU teams and the LSU teams and such but we don’t actually recruit each others players often because they are usually very biased one way or another from an early age.
So is it a rivalry? I don’t really think it is like it is for LSU. We want to beat Texas because we do hate you guys.
But we really don’t care about what Texas does. In fact many of us are fine to not even play you as long as we can play the rest of the SEC.
I guess some like the tradition but it’s not all that really as far as affecting our recruiting and progress as a program.
So no, I don’t care all that much about the playing the games. Now that we have to play I want to win, but if we didn’t play that would be fine. We could play every few years and that would be cool.

I grew up in a small town in South Texas. Lots of agriculture, and we likely had more Aggies that Longhorns in town. I've lived in North Carolina many years now after attending Texas, and I do enjoy the historic rivalry, just like I do our long time rivalries with OU and Arky.
I'm actually happy y'all's coach Elko is working out. When y'all are better, we have to be better. I have Duke friends here, and they hated to lose Elko when Elko left for A&M. I have aggy cousins, and plenty of home town aggy friends I keep up with on Facebook, and I give them a like when they post photos of their families happily attending aggy games.
But of course, we gotta win when we play aggy... losing to aggy feels worse than death, haha...

Not exactly.
Kids in Texas grow up 1/4 Aggies and 3/4 Longhorns.
Then they apply to college.
Then they become 3/4 Aggies and 1/4 Longhorns.
Sad but true.

Money would be better spent on TCU tickets...at least they've made a title game in recent memory.

After Tejas takes a loss to UGA, they’ll dip back down a little

Everyone I have ever met from Texas that cared about Football was a Cowboys fan. College was secondary

You may want to retract that post. Us Texans will interpret something about you from posting that. We know our culture and demographics, let's just say - and I'm not necessarily talking race.

Most seats are already over $1,000. I was offered 4 seats mid level…15 yardish…three weeks ago at $1250 each.

I'm sorry. Yeah no Texas fans are Cowboys fans LOL. Jerry Jones built that massive stadium that sells out every week so people from other states could watch football in Dallas. Demographics indeed chump.
